In order to prep everyone for their EP, which drops sometime in early 2012, New Linen is giving us a sneak peak at what’s to come. Making the Most is a clean acoustic/hip hop jam with a catchy chorus complimented by smooth verses. If this is a preview of whats to come, I can’t wait to hear what else New Linen has in store for us in 2012.

After dropping Merp Nation back in August, New Linen didn’t even take a moments pause before getting right back on the grind. Their latest track Higher, is another solid track from this captivating hip hop duo.

After listening through this entire mixtape, and searching for the proper description..I kept returning to smooth. So what exactly does that mean? I think it means that everything seems to come together perfectly, the lyricism, the simple but addicting beats, and the melodic choruses. New Linen is really the full package and after one listen through Merp Nation, I think you will agree. I have included a few of my favorite tracks for preview below and you can download the full mixtape below that.

Well I know what I’ll be listening to on the beach tomorrow (all of our Dewey Beach fans stand up). New Linen’s latest work is arguable their best. I can definitely dig their vibe, the beat matched by the smooth guitar chords works perfectly with their verses.

This song, featured in the movie “Fast Five”, features the Brazilian rapper Marcelo D2. The beat features old-school samples, horns, piano riffs – it’s legit. 4.5/5
