Last week I introduced ya’ll to Raz Simone, the MC from Seattle who signed to 300, a new label headed by Lyor Cohen, and backed by Google, with his track “Sometimes I Don’t” featuring Sam Lachow. This week his management hit me with his latest single “Don’t Shine,” off his upcoming album Cognitive Dissonance: Part One, where Raz spits on his environment and where he grew up, and just like its title, it’s not bright. One thing’s for certain, if Raz keeps it up, his future will be. I’m all about real hip hop, and rap records with substance, and musicality, Raz’s talent embodies all of that. This is a must listen and a must download!

A few months back Sikai hit me up with his mixtape Painkilling: Summertime Sick, and after doing a quick skim of the project, the track “Still On D.R.U.G.S” stood out the most to me, from the production to the lyrical content and overall delivery, I had to share it with ya’ll. Fast forward a few months, and Sikai and his team just released must watch visuals for the record., which take you through the different emotions and psychological states that come from constant drug abuse. I know I may be way late to the party with this one and some of ya’ll might already be acquainted with Seatltle MC Raz Simone, but for those who aren’t, get familiar, because he’s about to be the next big thing in music and hip-hop. He just signed a deal with 300, Lyor Cohen’s record label, and dropped a 5 track EP Solomon Samuel Simone last March, with my favorite track being “Sometimes I Don’t” featuring Sam Lachow which you can stream below. Wish I could find the words to describe his sound, this is real music. I’ve had the record below on repeat, and you should too. This is a must listen and a must download!

Something trill for ya’ll on this Sunny Thursday afternoon by Chicago MC S-Preme with visuals to his first single “Righteous” off his debut album “Goodbye Tomorrow” sampling Biggie’s notorious line “bitches in the back looking righteous.” Mr Music absolutely merked this trap beat, probably one of the hardest hip hop/trap beats I’ve heard this year. This is my first time hearing of S-Preme and he caught me off guard, I’m actually impressed, he’s got a dope flow, and dope lines. The track is up for free download, so get that!
