Progressive House | Moiez & Electric Joy Ride – Space Bomb
Posted by Middy on September 23, 2012
Coming off of nearly winning the “Titan” remix competition, FNT regular Moiez teams up with Electric Joy Ride to give us “Space Bomb” the latest single in his growing list of quality productions. “Space Bomb” combines crunchy beats with rising synths and a big room build to put together what may be Moiez’s edgiest track yet. He has done plenty of progressive and even some trance tracks, so seeing this evolution of his sound shows his progression and versatility as a producer.
Progressive House | Clockwork – Titan (Moiez Remix)
Posted by Middy on September 7, 2012
Moiez has been churning out quality track after quality track and putting himself on the track to future success and recognition from big artists. This time decides to take on the rising American asset, Clockwork and his recent single “Titan”. Moiez keeps much of the electro growls from the original, while adding his own twist to the track with long melodic interludes that give a respite from the bass heavy drops. Also below is the latest segment of MoiezMusic, his hour long mix that includes some the latest hit tracks in dance music. Tracklist after the jump.
Progressive House | Sam La More – I Wish It Could Last (Moiez Remix)
Posted by Middy on August 19, 2012
Moiez’s prodigious rate of production continues with his latest remix of Sam La More’s “I Wish It Could Last” as first premiered on the inaugural episode of his podcast MoiezMusic. This track takes us to the more melodic side of Moiez’s sound with stellar use of the vocals from the original track, a well constructed melody with a superb arp and soft builds help to create the airy atmosphere in the track.
Progressive House | Moiez – You Only Live Once
Posted by Middy on August 5, 2012
While the title of the song may not have been the best choice, the song itself is progressive house gold. Using 2 different vocal samples to accentuate an uplifting, refined melody and a steady, purposeful bass line, Moiez gives away yet another quality track, continuing his streak of excellent releases. He has yet to stumble and compose a dud, showing a rare consistency for young producers, giving all indications of a great future for this young Canadian producer.
DJ-Set, Progressive House, Trance | MoiezMusic Ep #001 + Let’s Go & Climax Remixes
Posted by Middy on July 24, 2012
Canadian producer, Moiez is back again this time with an hour long mix that exemplifies his varied taste and sound from Trance to Progressive and Electro House. He selects tracks like the Heatbeat remix of “Suddenly Summer“, Tommy Trash’s Bootleg, “Unite Kids” and many of his own originals and remixes, including premiering a new remix, adding to his growing discography. Tracklist after the jump. Also included are the previously posted remixes of “Let’s Go” and the Diplo produced Usher track “Climax” that are now available for free download after their entry in remix competitions. Not really sure how they did not do better in their respective competitions, but I am not the judge.
Progressive House | Ellie Goulding – Hanging On (Moiez Extended Remix)
Posted by Middy on July 15, 2012
Though Moiez is just 20 and has only been seriously producing for a bit over a year, his sound has a level of maturity that you would find in renowned veterans of the game. Moiez continues his recent string of originals and remixes with the recent Ellie Goulding single “Hanging On” with Tinie Tempah (though he is absent in the remix) and though it is slightly unfair to remix an Ellie Goulding track because her voice makes remixes so easy, he creates melodies that generate a new level of emotion in the track. The track starts slow with a soft piano melody, steady bass line and Ellie Goulding’s angelic vocals and then adds blissful synth chords with a thumping bass line that takes the track to another stratosphere.
Electro-House, Progressive House | My Digital Enemy & Rob Marmot – African Drop (Tom Staar Remix)
Posted by Middy on July 5, 2012
Tom Staar takes this Ibiza ready, island track and fills it with festival fury. He keeps much of the Caribbean vibes with the vocal bits and funky percussion in the build, but once we get to the drop, the track totally changes tempo and becomes something entirely different. With its grungy undertones, a fast firing percussion, almost like being shot out of a cannon, and a thumping bass, the largesse of this track will be heard worldwide. Already supported by Alesso, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, this one is bound to become a late festival hit as the season comes into full swing this July and August.
Beatport: My Digital Enemy & Rob Marmot – African Drop (Tom Staar Remix)
Also included is the latest remix from Moiez of Jetpack Jones’ single “Jetpack Lifestyle”. It does pretty well with keeping much of the same chill vibes of the original track (a quality track) and adds an uplifting drop, creating a nice blend of house and hip hop. May not be his best effort we have seen to date, but definitely a good track.
