Deep House | HARBER, Michael Calfan, & NISHA Sign ‘Feelings After Dark’ To Musical Freedom
Posted by VMan on May 14, 2021
Three talents hit the studio in “Feelings After Dark,” which has promptly been signed by Musical Freedom. The label is Tiësto founded and operated, making the trajectory of the track seriously hype and near-guarantees it’s going places. It’s no wonder it got picked up by such a big label, just one listen lands a positive impression from the get-go. Nisha’s vocal work leads as the synths and percussion follows. Sonically, the experience is confidence-inducing and empowering, the passing beats leading to a drop that triggers an instant urge to dance that’s hard to shake off. Once the track begins to close, it’s not easy to forget the earworm energy. “Feelings After Dark,” leaves your wanting more.
HARBER is no stranger to generating seriously hot tracks, his combined streams showcases songs that collectively break the 1,000,000 stream mark. On top of this, his past single “More Than You,” spent 9-weeks on the Billboard charts, peaking at #21.
Michael Calfan has hit undeniably high moments since Bobby Sinclar discovered him back in 2008. 100,000,000 streams, festival performances around the world, and rubbing shoulders with some of the top-talents in all of electronic music begins to describe the narrative of the legacy Michael Calfan has been trailing behind him.
“Feelings After Dark,” is available on all major streaming platforms.
House | Michael Calfan Unveils His Summer Anthem “Mercy”
Posted by Tay on June 24, 2015
We’ve come a long way since the days of listening to disco, house, and techno in illegal warehouse parties, but the soul and emotion of dance music has never changed. As dance music has grown bigger and bigger, producers have looked outside of traditional genre boundaries, bringing together different elements of various genres to create more innovative, niche sounds. Michael Calfan has been exploring deeper sonic territories of house lately, combining deep house with elements of big room to create what he dubs “soul house.” His latest track, “Mercy,” is soul house at its finest, as Calfan layers a piano-driven melody with an old-school vocal sample and blaring horn arrangements that gives the track a sunny personality.

Another big tune that made it high to the regular charts (this time in a vocal version with KStewart). And there’s more going on with Koala, as it gets a true Michael Calfan treatment here. The French producer takes the track to deeper house territory, making the hooks and groove even more infectious. Hit in the making! Make sure to pick up the remix on Beatport below.

Building on the success of his break through “Prelude” single, Michael Calfan steps back into the ring with his latest “Treasured Soul” release available today on Spinnin’ Records. Does the new single contain production elements of “Prelude” in it? Of course. That’s exactly why we like it. In fact, the proceeds of the sales will go to charity, which is always a good luck. Turn it up and purchase below.
Electro-House, Progressive House | Switchfoot – Who We Are (Remixes)

Switchfoot? Middy have you lost your mind? I know they suck pretty bad, on par with Nickelback, but when Atlantic rolled out the remix package for their recent single “Who We Are” and then Dave Winnel sent over his remix, it became the first time I (and probably many of you) enjoyed listening to Switchfoot.
Dave Winnel adds something hard and menacing to the tune, while Michael Calfan goes for the route of his usual melodic self. Aussie duo New World Sound of “Flute” fame, provide their own take on the tune as well.

Mashups, Progressive House | DOSVEC – Hey Now Momentum
Posted by BIGLIFE on October 2, 2013
When Martin Solveig teamed up with The Cataracs to release “Hey Now” it was a Pop / Top 40 tune that would be difficult to receive club / festival support. DOSVEC just took care of that by mashing it up with “Momentum” (Michael Calfan Mix) – The tune now has a great Progressive House feel that is sure to satisfy any EDM fanatic –
Progressive House | Marcus Schossow – Reverie
Posted by Middy on July 12, 2013
It was only a matter of time before Marcus Shossow got his due. He has been on the cusp for quite some time now with several successful releases on his own Tone Diary label, but in 2013 he saw his breakthrough with “Liceu” on Steve Angello’s Size Records and “Reverie” got him signed to the Axtone family. The track is built around a long, dreamy build that defies the normal 2-2 dance music composition with a dark, brooding, powerful and complex drop, combining searing guitars and impossibly punchy bass with well timed growls. This track has all the makings to be one of the best Axtone releases of the year and possibly stand as one of the best big room tracks in 2013. Look for a Michael Calfan remix later in the summer.
