I’m not one to bash modern hip-hop saying things like “lyricism is dead” and what not, but Big K.R.I.T.’s lyricism and subject matter is much more potent than most. In the past year Krit has generated a tremendous buzz amongst hip-hop heads everywhere. So with no further adieu, here is the download link to ReturnOf4Eva. Here at FNT we have been following the story of Leon the Professional for a minute now. The thing that has always impressed me about Leon is that he has he innate ability to carry a track with his lyricism rather than catchy hooks. His most recent project, “Breakfast” is perfect example of his unique talent. In his own words:
I feel like this is the embodiment of who I really am. Musically, culturally… I feel like this mixtape really had all the pieces, creativity, and energy that a good music project should. I wrote a lot of good songs and they all had the direction and feel of my bboy culture, and so I figured I mind as well put them into a phat tape!

Here’s an amazinnng track to start off your Tuesday. “Words I Never Said,” produced by Alex Da Kid, was shared on Lupe Fiasco’s Official Website today. Lupe’s powerful lyricism mixed with Skylar Grey’s amazing vocals makes this track a banger. “Words I Never Said” will be included on Lupe’s upcoming album, Lasers, which is set to hit stores on March 8th.
