Mashups | Gold Dust Off Your Shoulder (Stiver Ryx Remix)

Stiver Ryx dropped this mashup of Jay-Z’s Dirt Off Your Shoulder and Flux Pavilion’s remix of DJ Fresh’s Gold Dust in my inbox the other day, and it has definitely grown on me. The straight up passion that Flux Pavillion puts into their riffs melds perfectly with the laid back lyricism of Jay-Z…its hard to explain, just listen.

IllAdvized really impressed me with their first project Fusion which featured a deft combination of Hip-Hop, House, Electro, Dubstep and just about every other genre they can get their hands on. Their latest release, Hustling, features smart lyricism with an expert flow… oh and the chorus is completely addicting.

After listening through this entire mixtape, and searching for the proper description..I kept returning to smooth. So what exactly does that mean? I think it means that everything seems to come together perfectly, the lyricism, the simple but addicting beats, and the melodic choruses. New Linen is really the full package and after one listen through Merp Nation, I think you will agree.
