It’s been over a year since we last heard from Laxcity, but the UK based producer has finally returned. His new single “The Way That I Do’ sees him team up with EMIA again. (You might remember them working together before on “Just Try” from his previous Purity EP) The duo work magnificently together and create soft pop magic. Laxcity is an artist I’m truly excited about. He’s creating amazing downtempo, almost ambient music. His chill style is perfect for lazy afternoons or to put on while studying. His latest effort “Purity” is a perfect example of this. He even sings on his own production for the first time. “Purity” is the second single and title track from Laxcity’s upcoming EP due out in July.

Laxcity is one of my favorite rising producers right now. His album Catharsis blew me away and this year he’s dropped stunning remixes of Alina Baraz, San Holo, Ekali, and Medasin. Now his first original of 2019 sees him team up with EMIA for a gorgeous love balled. “Just Try” features soft synths, EMIA’s angelic pop voice, and creative production.
