Electro-House | Krewella – Alive (Hardwell ‘The Final’ Remix)

Hardwell & Krewella

You guys may be sick of this song by now with it getting plays on every popular radio station, but when a dance music heavyweight like Hardwell gets a hold of this, you have to listen. Hardwell has professed his love for Krewella‘s crossover hit single “Alive“, which recently went number one on Billboard’s dance chart, notably rinsing out the Cash Cash & Kalkutta remix during his sets, such as his highly acclaimed Ultra set. Hardwell decided to surprise the fast rising trio with a remix of his own, fitting the vocals to an instrumental that meshes with what he is bringing to his live show.

Krewella could not pass on the opportunity to make this official, thus the remix in front of you was born. It is clear the time Hardwell spent with W&W has influenced what he is bringing to his productions. The thunderous synths that we see from W&W creep their way into this remix as Hardwell mixes together the instantly recognizable vocals from Krewella with the perfect-for-the-live-show bombastic instrumental that he has created. Is that a hoverhand there Hardwell? C’mon man, don’t be shy, they don’t bite….too hard.

Baltimore’s bass heavy Starscape Festival has been known for showcasing up and coming talent, mixed with some established names in the bass heavier end of dance music — all at a great price. However, the creators of Starscape decided that after 14 years it needed a makeover to bring it up to speed with the bigger is better festival culture here in America. Krewella - Come and Get It Remixes

While the world is getting progressively wetter for Krewella as “Alive” takes over the airwaves and TV, they have not forgotten about the fans and have released the remix package for their single “Come and Get It” for free. The remix package brings in established names like Savoy, while taking contributions from newcomers like German producer Kairo Kingdom to showcase talent from all across the spectrum, much like the “Play Harder” remix EP. Moving accross a wide variety of styles and sounds, each of the remixes make sure to let the vocals from Krewella shine and then add their own flavor to it. Whether it is the trapped out DMNDZ and Savoy remixes, an interesting and successful direction to see them go, or the heavier Kairo Kingdom or Razihel remixes, this remix package has something for everyone.

Beam

Spring is upon us, at least that is what the calendar says, what better way to get into the swing of things than with some Girl Fire, provided by DOSVEC. This track includes the biggest female vocalist out there combined with a sick instrumental from Mako. This is a must MP3 and peep the video while you are at it.

Progressive House | Spektrem – Enter The Spektrem

Maryland duo, Spektrem put their name on our radar last year with releases like “In a Dream”, “Sugar” and “Dirtybuzz“. Right from the beginning they showed the ability to stand out with very crisp productions and outstanding melodies. They have played already played gigs with the likes of Krewella and Savoy and played at Dayglow (who the hell calls it Life In Color?) and are only getting ready for bigger things this year including the Project Miami show on the 15th during WMC.

The opener “Loretta” is a high energy track that gets to it right from the get go with a teasing big room build and a punchy, driving bass line and low end. “Shine” was previewed a few weeks back and it is the uplifting, big room track you come to expect from them like “Sugar” and “In A Dream” with an outstanding melody and subtle, growling riffs. It has been over a year since the original release of “In A Dream”, so they decided to re-mix the original and make it more professional sounding, showing their technical progress as a group. They are big fans of the “We’re Coming Back” vocal so they decided to make the track their own using big room synths with a small smattering of stutters and an interesting interlude with an alternating bass line. Grab the 4 track EP for free below for a simple Facebook like, you won’t regret the decision.
