Videos | Kanye West – Runaway (Short Film)

There’s been some great debate today over this video. Some have hated it and some have loved it. Since the video is abstract, some are struggling with interpreting the film. You can click here to get a full explanation from Kanye himself. Amongst some of the themes are individuality, death, race, and pygmalion.
The main criticism has been that Kanye thinks he’s a God. I’ve got news for you, you’re right! He is an elitist. He’s like that fraternity member that you hate simply because you’re not in a fraternity. What I tend to disagree with, however, is the argument that he should stick to rapping. He may not be a genius, but he definitely has vision and is extremely creative.
This video is just another avenue for him to express his creativity through. When you tell him “he should just stick to rapping” you’re essentially putting him a box. And that my friends, just doesn’t seem fair to me.

It includes the effects Kanye added live at the VMA’s. I added some new Wayne with minor tags as well. I’m sure we’ll be getting an abundance of Wayne once he gets released from the big house. Quality > Quantity. That’s just me though.

Yet another track from Kanye on “G.O.O.D. Friday”. Is it just me, or do all these tracks sound half finished? Like it or not, I think Kanye is doing something really special right now. You’re seeing Kanye releasing track by track diligently, you’re seeing artists work together that would have never previously if it weren’t for Kanye, and you’re seeing the resurgence of Charlie Wilson’s career. This may be a time when we look back on Kanye’s career and say, this was his artistic peak.

Kanye and Pusha debuted their collaboration last night at the VMAs. We now get the mastered/cdq. As a bonus, I added the original version of “Miss Me” ft. Bun B.

This is straight from MTV’s live blog after Kanye’s performance.
Kanye just got back downstairs, absolutely ecstatic, hugging everyone on the way to his dressing room, where his entourage has piled in. One of the members of Kanye’s (enormous) posse yelled “Redemption!” He seriously looked like he just won the world cup. REDEMPTION. Seconds later, Rihanna, in a champagne gown, was ushered into the room, waving her hands in the air singing “Let’s have a round for the assholes.” The party is currently located in Kanye West’s dressing room, where all you can hear are whoops and hollers. Drake just walked in, and if they have plates they’re probably breaking them, Greek-wedding style.

This is my favorite leak thus far. I haven’t heard a “whack” leak thus far. Dare I say that Kanye may come with a classic project?
