Electro-House | will.i.am ft. J.Lo & Mick Jagger – Go Hard (R3hab vs The Eye Remix)
Posted by Spice on April 17, 2012
Let me get this out of the way at the outset: I’m really, really tired of will.i.am. Lately he’s always showing up in places he doesn’t belong (like the criminally dull EDC documentary I was idiotic enough to purchase on pay-per-view recently), running his mouth on camera about things he’s probably not qualified to discuss while looking like the try-hard love child of Kanye and Andre 3000. I’m over you, man. I don’t like your style and I don’t like your moves.
Unsurprisingly, “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” never did much for me, but R3HAB’s big remix kicks it up to the next level by turning the dial on the tempo and the bass. It’s still got that commercial will.i.am. flavor and the same questionable lyrics (“you can go hard or you can go home”….sweet brah), but the build that R3HAB lays in after the chorus is delectable. Not to mention hearing the man/myth/legend that is Mick Jagger bellowing over R3HAB’s lasery synths is both incongruous and awesome. Snap up that free DL below.
Review | Maxim Bady On… Kanye West’s “Theraflu”
Posted by A on April 6, 2012
“I like Peta. I like Kanye West. I like Kim Kardashian’s… a**. I like Youtube. I like Wiz Khalifa. Everything I like in the same song! Dis is my song!
This is what I’m talking about. Finally, somebody makes a review that accurately represents the way I feel about Kanye’s new music. He’s aiming for the head right now and not missing. Not even DJ Khaled, who does absolutely nothing but put his name on the song, could ruin “Theraflu” with his yelling. Kanye can’t be stopped right now. He’s easily the best hip-hop artist in the world. Who else would come out and admit they fell in love with Kim Kardashian? Who else could have Kris Humpries dropped from the team? Kanye West, that’s who. Maxim Bady loves this song in 10,000 different ways. Swag him out.
Albums, Hip-Hop | Terence Ryan – Skeleton EP
Posted by W8 on January 26, 2012
Skeleton EP is definitely the exact prescribed dosage of reality that hip hop is currently in need of, no doubt. Terence Ryan is solely responsible for all songs written, recorded, produced, and engineered on this EP. It’s safe to say he deserves full credit for this entire project, that I truly admire. Rarely do you see artists engaging in all aspects of their craft aside from a scarce few like J. Cole and Kanye. For that reason Skeleton should remain memorably fresh for quite a while, not to mention Terence Ryan’s worth pondering lyricism. Be sure to show support and follow him on Twitter, and like his Facebook. Also, check his new video for Alan’s Right if you haven’t already.

Mashups | Logo – Guy Talk
Posted by GMONEY on November 15, 2011
12 songs in 3:40. Wow. This is an impressive mashup from Logo. He uses various artists such as Phantom Planet, Kanye, Biggie, Coldplay, Ratatat, Phoenix, Coldplay, Oasis, Big Boi, and more, getting that Girl Talk type of mashup. Look for more stuff to come from Logo, especially with a good one like this.

Hip-Hop | Phil Ade- Let It Shine
Posted by ATexas on November 14, 2011
This little light of his is definitely going to shine. With R&B Beats, old school spit game and a catchy chorus with backup vocals, Phil Ade knocks it out of the park once more. Reminiscent of old school Kanye, Phil is progressively maturing as an artist.

Hip-Hop | Nick Cannon ft Kanye West – Big Spender
Posted by Juicebox on October 9, 2011
Yes, yes you read that right…Nick Cannon & Kanye West on the same track. This is an unreleased track and judging by Kanye’s flow/fact it’s a collaboration with Nick Cannon, I’m going to take a guess and say Kanye recorded this one six years ago (before Nick Cannon was only known as Mariah Carey’s wife). As much as I hate to say this, people wouldn’t hate on this if they didn’t know it was Nick Cannon. His flow really isn’t bad nor are the lyrics…
