It’s impossible to truly capture how impressive EDX’s career has been. Few artists in any genre have been able to stay relevant through so many dramatic changes like the Italian-born producer has been able to, which is an ode to his hard work and tireless effort. While last year was an evolutionary year for the Swiss beatmaster, this year has been one of EDX’s best. Releases like his “Indian Summer” remix of “Show Me Love” and his “Miami Sunset” remix of Spada’s “Catchfire (Sun Sun Sun)” were both chart-dominating releases, topping the Hype Machine and Beatport charts, on their way to over 30 million plays together. Now, EDX is closing out his year strong with his newest original, “Belong,” a masterful blend of deep and progressive, that marks his return to Spinnin’ Deep.

This “Reflections” remix graced my inbox a few days back and after the first listen I knew it needed to be shared. However, as it usually does, life got ahead of me and my post slipped from one day to the next to the next. Then, tonight as I perused Hype Machine, staring me right in the face -as any not completed assignment does- was the Misterwive’s name along with the Gryffin remix.
The bouncy deep house sound that Gryffin implores has been a recent trend amongst producers, and combined with the Misterwives angelic vocals the song was a guaranteed success.

Today, I introduce you to Elephante. Hailing from sunny California, Elephate is an EDM producer, specializing in a big room sound. His latest dance floor hit, “Pretty Lights” comes complete with a stomach-thumping bass-line and jabbing synths. The deep vocals from Rohan Kymal really round off the track and make for a fantastic piece of art. Brenton took the Hype Machine charts by storm this past summer with some incredible tracks that reached the number one position on more than one occasion. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that this talented musician creates original beats and sounds with the piano, guitar, etc i.e., this isn’t just a 1 v 1 mashup. I’m eager to see where this FNT exclusive goes…
