Hip-Hop | Dylan Joshua drops self-titled V&B track “can’t stay”
Posted by VMan on October 4, 2020
Dylan Joshua has returned with a new relationship influenced single entitled “can’t stay.” Not one to be penned into strict genres of hip-hop or RnB, Dylan’s art could be defined at V&B – vibes and blues. The track creates the perfect balance of cool and dreamy vibes that maintains a spellbinding stream of consciousness that is effortlessly and melodically performed. The somewhat sad, somewhat real tune is about the end of a relationship and how tricky it can sometimes be to finally leave. See a quote via Joshua below and stream the song above now.
“can’t stay is the honest truth of me realizing the ending of a relationship and my thoughts on it. A lot of the music I make I just make for myself, I don’t write with the intention to put it out, so with my music, listeners are really just getting the true stream of thought of what I’m dealing with. Hopefully it opens up conversations for people to talk more about the issues they’re going through, unlike I did. I know for me personally, especially when things aren’t working out in a relationship it takes a toll because it’s like fighting a secret war. You don’t wanna show anyone there’s trouble in paradise so you kind of bottle it up. Thankfully I have music as an outlet but to the people out there who don’t it’s definitely a struggle I empathize with. It can be very draining”
Bootleg, Trap | Sam Smith – I’m Not The Only One (VORN Bootleg)
Posted by BIGLIFE on March 18, 2015
I recently discovered this rising star, Vorn , and NYC native with a melodic and original take on Sam Smith’s hit I’m Not The Only One. After hearing this smash, I did a little more research and fell in love with his remake of dance classic Sandstorm . Hopefully we hear more from this newcomer, so make sure you give him a listen and grab the free Download!
Hip-Hop, Rap | 21 – The Pink Bride
Posted by admin on March 9, 2014
With only five songs to his name on SoundCloud, to say that Memphis emcee, 21, has already made a statement with his music would be selling him short. Each of his songs pulses with raw talent that is becoming a necessary prerequisite to stand apart from the overly-saturated independent rap world.
In his latest offering, “The Pink Bride”, 21 fearlessly dives in to a Ta-Ku production that artists with far more notoriety would have shied away from. Illustrating the trials and tribulations of a past relationship, “The Pink Bride” serves as an emotional roller-coaster for 21 himself, as well as the listeners that are so easily swallowed up by the story.
Hopefully, we will be seeing 21 again soon, possibly with some original production to reassure the potential that many -including myself- see in him.
Bass, Techno | moodblanc – Vous
Posted by admin on November 10, 2013
Tonight, Fresh New Tracks is providing you with something a little different than our usual musical offerings in an attempt to set your week off on the right foot. moodblanc is a Swedish, nu-disco duo with a sum-total of two songs in their SoundCloud catalog. Despite their non-expansive body of work, the two released songs are a treat for any pair of ears.
Be enchanted all the way to a terrace on the Hôtel de Paris, as “Vous” takes you on a continued journey through music…Each song that the group has released is a chapter in what appears to be a trilogy of work. “Vous” leaves the speaker/lover within the song in a vulnerable position, admitting that “it’s hard, impossible even, to be happy alone.”
Hopefully, the wait for Chapter Three won’t be too long, but in the meantime enjoy the soothing Daft-Punk-esk vocals and entrancing bassline.
Hip-Hop | Ryan Leslie ft. Fabolous- Beautiful Lie (Remix)
Posted by A on March 17, 2012
The big homey, Ryan Leslie, is back at it again. This time, he’s recruited Fabolous to add a verse to his first single, “Beautiful Lie” off his forthcoming “Les Is More” album dropping this summer. Uncharacteristically, Ryan recently opted to shed his previous Harvard pedigree for a more impetuous one, throwing caution to the wind with his new persona despite speaking to disadvantaged chillens’ in Harlem above.
In his newest “Swiss Francs”, which he premiered in the clip above, he raps with Ryan-Leslie-esque brovado: “My passport is stamped out, I need some pages. When I die they gon’ act out my life on movie stages. Got a hired gun motto is protect the chief, keep these haters from schemin’ on this patek philippe.” Hopefully, he won’t be needing to use his newly acquired fire power anytime soon. “Les Is More” is coming soon.
Indie | Strange Talk – Eskimo Boy Remixes | Indie Electro-Pop
Posted by BIGLIFE on June 14, 2011
Hopefully some of you enjoyed the tracks I posted a little earlier by Strange Talk. Well if you didn’t dont fret because these remixes will most likely have a wider appeal to the FNT crowd. If you like Phoenix, you’ll like this. Both of these remixes spice things up a bit, making it more dancey. The Lightwaves version is slightly softer (which I prefer) than the Vanguard’s rougher edged remix (people who like Mach’s tracks will dig this one).

Hip-Hop | The Dean’s List – The Drive In | HIP-HOP
Posted by BIGLIFE on February 26, 2011
Hot damn, this is one impressive project. Like I don’t think it’d be out of this world to give this a spot in our top 10 mixtapes for the year. Evidently The Dean’s List has mastered the art of rapping over perfectly produced beats that host some unreal vocals. Hopefully I won’t be the only one who picks up on the advanced spitting techniques these guys are utilizing to keep the songs fresh and professional. I could probably post the entire tape but that’d take the fun out of getting “The Drive In” in its entirety.
