The homie Mod Sun drops the title track off his upcoming EP release Happy As Fuck, which drops June 6th. This track has an upbeat summertime vibe to it, perfrect for drinking vodka or lemonade to in the sunshine or shade. Mod recruits his close friend Pat Brown to work his magic on the hook while California’s own Cisco Adler kills the production. Be sure to check out the dope lyric video to this song after the jump!

About a month ago I featured Def Gone Graphic’s previous video for “Beware” and now he’s back with another. The song is titled “I Think It’s Hot (when a girl smokes pot)” and is just in time for every smokers favorite holiday. He recruited none other than the hippy of hip-hop for this one, Mod Sun. I made a little cameo in this video, which portions were filmed before the Radical Something concert I attended a couple weeks back. Def Gone Graphic definitely brings something different to the table and doesn’t limit himself to strictly hip-hop. Def actually wrote this song a few years ago when he was 18, but refrained from dropping a video or studio recording until the time was right. Once he heard Mod Sun wanted to drop a verse on it, he knew it was time.

My man Gaines drops new visuals for his “Party” track featuring Mod Sun. I actually came out for this video shoot and it was a great time. You can catch me in some shots wearing the Freshletes hoodie jumping around! This video was shot by 13twentythree and is another dope production of his, it fits the song perfectly. Overall the track is dope, Gaines and Mod Sun both hit it on the head! If you haven’t heard of Gaines you should check him out. He recently dropped his album, The Night Crawler you can get that here. Mod Sun just released his most recent project, First Take: The Acoustic Sessions. He recorded this entire project in one night, all the songs are recorded on the first take without any effects. Pat Brown is playing the guitar and singing some of the hooks, while Mod Sun lays the verses. This is a nice acoustic compilation of some of his previous songs. I like these versions because you can really listen to the detail in the lyrics he’s written. Mod Sun drops the first single off his upcoming project, Gordon Bombay. If you don’t know who Gordon Bombay is he’s the coach in the movie The Mighty Ducks. The movie happens to take place in Minnesota, the state where he’s from. This track is pretty dope I dig mods hippy hop style.
