Miami native Henrix has seen the yearly worldwide dance music pilgrimage for Ultra come and go and patiently waited his turn to make his mark on the most important week in dance music. This time with 7 gigs coming up, he is kicking it off with a 3 track EP with some of his most requested tracks including the Tiesto supported “After All”. With his much anticipated single “Hit It” still sitting high in the charts and ready to rock stages at UMF, he turns back to the mode of free downloads to give out more quality tunes.
The EP sandwiches the acid fueled “Miami Bounce” with 2 massive big room tracks. “After All” makes good work of chopped vocal bits, aiding Eran Hersh’s etheral vocals over a sublime melody of soaring synths and a playful piano top line. For those of you saying this is a cheap knock off of “Million Voices”, here is a clip of it being made before “Million Voices” was even public. “Close Your Eyes” is the first of several collabs between two of our artists to watch in 2013, Henrix and Jakob Liebholm, as they tab Zashanell to lay down angelic vocals over an uplifting big room track that shows the subtlety of Jakob Liedholm’s sound and the melodic sensibilities that Henrix is capable of drawing upon.

This track needs very little introduction. Already supported by just about every big name Dj in the business, “Hit It” has been one of the most sought after tracks heading into 2013 ever since its public unveiling at Size in the Park by Steve Angello. “Hit It” combines the talents of all 4 of these guys — using the bouncy percussion Henrix has quickly become known for with haunting builds and big room elements in the drop fashioned by fellow Miami natives GTA & Digital Lab. This song has already been huge up to this point, but with WMC just around the corner, its ascent may have only just begun.

Events | Henrix @ Mixify Rise Festival 2/14/13

Mixify is hosting the largest online festival of its kind at the moment with big name Djs like Knife Party, Arty, Deniz Koyu, Tritonal, R3hab, Walden, Adrian Lux, Ken Loi and many more. It kicked off earlier today with Adrian Lux throwing down a superb set and others like Tritonal, Danny Avila and the Stafford Brothers following suit. As I am writing this, Ken Loi is just starting his set, so tune in for that. The festival will continue until the 14th at 9pm. We are sponsoring fast rising talent, Henrix’s set on the 14th from 7-8, so before you head out for a debaucherously romantic night on the town, tune in to Henrix’s 1 hour set filled with hard hitting percussive beats. The track has been in circulation for months now, getting support from every big Dj under the sun like Steve Angello (obviously), Kaskade, Otto Knows, Diplo, Tiesto, Laidback Luke, Wolfgang Gartner, Hardwell and many more. We now know that the minimalist festival track will be released February 25th, making it a prime time cut for WMC and Ultra and will round out a great month for Size with “Swoon” coming on Monday. To celebrate the news, Henrix is giving out a free track “Miami Rising” that is a departure from his hard hitting percussion laden beats for a more melodic piano driven track, showing the diversity of his productions. Also after the jump the preview for a new track “All That”, which was premiered on Tiesto’s Club Life last week.

Electro-House | Stafford Brothers Ft. Christina Milian – Hello (Henrix Remix)

Recent signees to Cash Money Records, the Stafford Brothers have announced the remix package for their debut single “Hello” on the Birdman led record label. Among names like Albin Myers, Dannic, Morten Breum, Damn Wright and Candyland, Henrix, one of our 13 to watch in 2013, steps to the forefront and releases his remix early for free download. The original sounded like Cash Money records was afraid to let a full-fledge dance track be released on its label and stripped down the potential of the Stafford Brothers work. In come the various remixers and here Henrix. His take on the track incorporates a acid fueled drop, melding together the melodic elements of the original and grittier, clubier additions to give the track the boost is so desperately needed. Also check out his remix of Tiesto’s “Love Comes Again” set for release February 4th.

Henrix, like many other DJs is feeling generous during the holiday season and has decided to give away a brand new original to cap off a totally transformative year that saw a total name and brand change, now is entering 2013 under the moniker Henrix — one of the fastest rising American house producers with his track “Hit It” coming out soon on Size Records and another with Jakob Leidholm & Zashanell “Close Your Eyes”. “Rock & Rave” continues the same trend of quick alternating percussion we see in other Henrix tracks, but with a rolling acid bass line and a slow, ominous interlude that makes this one stand out.
