Leaders in the blossoming Colorado dance music scene, Savoy make their debut on Wolfgang Garter’s Kindergarten Records with their new single “I Dare You”. Savoy reunite with Heather Bright or Bright Lights after collabs like “We Are The Sun“, who unsurprisingly lays down some stunning vocals over Savoy’s heavy instrumental that lets Heather’s vocals shine, while adding growling saws and thumping bass to this well layered electro track. Having just finished up their Live With Lasers tour, look for more original material to come from them before they get back out on the road. If you have not already grab their recent 4 track EP “Personal Legend” for free here.

Dubstep, Electro-House, House, Review | Savoy & Heather Bright – We Are The Sun

Posted by on May 14, 2012

As I stated a few weeks back with their remix of Chromeo, it has felt like they just haven’t been doing too hot for about 6 months until recently. They previewed this gem about 5 months ago, and finally, as of today this Electro-House banger is obtainable. Heather Bright has a great voice for this style of music, her vocals on this track get you amped up for a rager. Savoy also did a dubstep remix of the track, which as the past has shown is a strong suit for them. The dubstep remix is dirty, if it was Wednesday you would definitely see it up on R Rated. This entire release surprised me because even the Manuel De La Mare remix is a great house track. I will stick by my guns when I say the original is still the best of the three.

Dubstep, Review | Flinch – Light It Up EP

Posted by on March 2, 2012

Flinch’s new EP hasn’t been getting the recognition it deserves, and from asking around it is safe to say everyone who has listened to it was caught by surprise. All four tracks on this EP are refreshing, and pleasing original dubstep tunes. Starting off with Light it Up,vocals provided by Heather Bright, which is a well worked vocal dubstep track. The drop isn’t anything crazy, but stylish enough to listen to a 100 times and not get tired of it. The second track on the EP is probably my favorite, because he showcased a version of it late last year but as a remix of a Katy B track. I’m really happy he decided get a vocalist, Domonique Porter, to lay down some original vocals to this absolute monster track. Third, we have a track entitled Lost In A Blur and I would have to say that title sums up this track well. There is a feeling of not knowing what is coming in this track, because it starts off soft and ordinary then a pretty heavy drop just slaps you in the face. The last track on the EP reminds me somewhat of Flinch’s remix to Woman Like Me, because of the same UK Funky vibe throughout the track. Grab this EP on Beatport HERE.

Dubstep, Electro-House, Progressive House | Stars Come Out Remixes

Posted by on February 13, 2012

OWSLA native Zedd unleashed his Remix EP for his single Stars Come Out featuring many big names. Starting off with John Dahlback’s Progressive House remix. Not John’s best work and also a very short track, but nonetheless this remix is something different. Lazy Rich bringing their Electro skills to this track, by starting off with a nice intro that slowly builds into Heather Bright’s vocals. Next thing you know your jamming to a nasty and grimey electro synth with heavy leads that create the perfect combination for an electro-house track. Theres no stopping Datsik lately, and we continue to see him showcasing some of his new sounds and styles in this remix. If you haven’t listened to his UMF mix, you are missing out on a lot of his unreleased goodies. This remix is crazy with the synths and is hands down my favorite remix on this EP. Terravita also provide a nice dubstep remix, which is a little heavier on the bass and more ruffneck on the synths if that’s what you prefer. Last we have Tim Mason, who provides an uplifting progressive house remix with a suberb melodic bassine and prominent synth work. Be sure to grab this EP on Beatport HERE.

Electro-House | Zedd – Stars Come Out Ft. Heather Bright

Posted by on November 22, 2011

I want to know who makes Zedd’s album art, some of the coolest in my opinion. After the forth time in a row listening to this track, I have come to the conclusion that this is by far my favorite track Zedd has made. Zedd really takes a win on this, the beat is club ready and I don’t think this track needs a remix of any sort. Heather Bright’s vocals are just the cherry on top to Zedd’s great work.
