Building on the success of her “In Motions” EP dropped in November, Jessie Andrews captures hearts and minds with her brand new “Usually Deep” EP. While only three tracks long, “Usually Deep” is concise project that’s brimming with groovy baselines and dark production that house heads will welcome. Set to make her debut at Ultra’s “Worldwide Stage” come March, Jessie’s profile continues to rise with consistent production and solid performances. Pick up Jessie’s “Usually Deep EP 1” out on ZIVS here.

House | Zulu Records Presents My Digital Enemy’s “Say It”

Posted by on February 2, 2015

There’s a lot to say about this track. Before I get into it, I want to commend Zulu Records. They’ve been all over the place in 2014, popping up in my feed many times with their groovy releases and solid marketing. It ain’t easy rising above the nonsense out there, which means they’re doing a lot right. My Digital Enemy’s latest “Say It” is a brooding house masterpiece that you need to listen to immediately.

DO SOMETHING

House | Watch Mr. Belt & Wezol “Time” Video

Posted by on January 1, 2015

Making their debut in 2014 with a string of infectious remixes picked up by the blog space, as well as a “Pikachu” collaboration with Oliver Heldens, Mr. Belt & Wezol release their heavily anticipated “Time” original today. Set in a mysterious warehouse, Mr. Belt and Wezol bring us an accompanying video, which largely consists of them smashing clocks with various weapons. My feelings about the music video aside, “Time” is a great tune and I expect it to charily highly on Beatport.

“Time” is out now on Spinnin’ Deep.

Purchase: Mr. Belt & Wezol – Time (Original Mix)

House | Showtek Explores New Sound With “90’s By Nature”

Posted by on December 29, 2014

Showtek, best known for mindless progressive bangers, has jumped over into the future house lane. Smart move, as groovy house tunes will be “in” come 2015. Reported earlier that “90’s By Nature” borrows heavily (that’s putting it nicely) from Girls Love DJ’s “Bigfoot” bootleg, Showtek and MC Ambush presumably have a hit on their hands with this new effort. Who will jump on the future house bandwagon next? Only time will tell. “90’s By Nature” is available via SKINK on Beatport now.

House | Royce Remixes Jill Scott’s “Golden” Classic

Posted by on December 26, 2014

Every once and a while a tune slips past us. It can easily happen, as we have over 20,000 unread messages on any single day languishing in our submission account. I’m always on the hunt for tunes. While hunting, I spotted Royce’s “Golden” remix in the wild and knew I had to grab it. It’s not a new tune, but Royce deserves to make his FreshNewTracks.com debut with this incredibly groovy remix. Little is know about this Seoul based producer, however, we we do know is that we want to hear more in 2015.

House | Skitzofrenix Samples The “Thong Song” Making Us “Bounce”

Posted by on December 22, 2014

I never thought I’d see a deep house interpretation of SISQUO’s famed “Thong Song” but such is life. Skitzofrenix makes his FreshNewTacks debut with his latest masterpiece (premiered on Oliver Helden’s latest “Heldeep Radio 29”) titled “Bounce” doesn’t have a release date or label quote yet. That said, it’s a tune and a half and we predict it could really pop off in 2015. Dumps like a truck? Check. Thighs like what? Check. Groovy baselines? Absolutely. Keep an eye out for this tune. Hat tip to TB.
