House | Showtek Explores New Sound With “90’s By Nature”
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 29, 2014
Showtek, best known for mindless progressive bangers, has jumped over into the future house lane. Smart move, as groovy house tunes will be “in” come 2015. Reported earlier that “90’s By Nature” borrows heavily (that’s putting it nicely) from Girls Love DJ’s “Bigfoot” bootleg, Showtek and MC Ambush presumably have a hit on their hands with this new effort. Who will jump on the future house bandwagon next? Only time will tell. “90’s By Nature” is available via SKINK on Beatport now.

Recently signing to 010bookings, Pep & Rash surprise the masses with their latest R3hab and Trevor Guthrie “Soundwave” remix, turning it into a future house ripper of epic proportions. They’re no one trick pony, as they remixed “Klanga” and “Promesses” as well, which are also incredible. Pep & Rash are one of those duo’s that you really need to keep an eye on 2014. “Soundwave” coming soon!
House | Sebastian Park Remixes “You’ve Got The Love”
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 20, 2014
Up and coming NY producer Sebastian Park is starting to make waves. Featured in today’s “Heldeep Radio 29” Sebastian takes on “You’ve Got The Love” which has that incredible future house sound we’ve all come to love. Inspired by the lyrics and holiday season, Sebastian gives us the perfect remix to close 2014. Keep an eye out for this young gun come 2015. I don’t think this is the last time we hear from him.
Future House | Jack U Recruit Tchami To “Take U There”
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 18, 2014
Diplo and Skrillex recruit enigmatic priest-garb wearing future house purveyor Tchami to put his incredible touch on “Take U There” featuring IDJ’s Kiesza. This remix is so good, it makes me want to pound a million shots of that anti-freeze laced Fireball and throw myself out a high-rise building. Just when I thought he would utilize those Tchami snyths we get an entirely new sound. Just incredible. I can’t wait to go deep with this tune all weekend. Tchami’s “Take U There” drops December 23 via OWSLA / Mad Decent, which can’t come quickly enough. Tchami. I need more Tchami! Tooooo good. [H/T HT]
House | Borgeous Releases “This Could Be Love” With Shaun Frank
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 18, 2014

Prediction: Progressive house is out in 2015. Deep house and future house will be in. Case and point: Borgeous and Shaun Frank’s new “This Could Be Love” masterpiece with Delay Jane assisting on vocals. This isn’t your typical insanely annoying progressive house “banger” that we’re accustomed to from Borgeous, which is good news to our ears and musical sensibilities. Performing last week in Dallas at Lizard Lounge, Borgeous and Shaun Frank take us back to that nostalgic 90’s house sound that everyone is attempting to ride. In this case, they capture it well. My hats off to both producers.
Pick u pBorgeous and Shaun Frank’s “This Could Be Love” out now onn Spinnin’ Deep.

Future House | Showtek Redies “90s By Nature” Featuring MC Ambush
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 15, 2014

Everyone is making future house tunes, which I can’t be upset about. It’s a new sound (pioneered
largely by Tchami and Oliver Heldens) that artists who previously made generic progressive house nonsense (like Showtek) are now all over. Regardless, this is a fat tune. The only issue I have with it is that a producer named Girls Love DJ’s teamed up with Praia Del Sol to make a “Bigfoot” re-work that was released in September that sounds strangely similar. Of course, all the Soundcloud links are down, however, a Youtube video still exists. Play the two tracks side by side and tell me that isn’t a variation of the same track. I’m not accusing either party of wrong-doing, but something is up. What I find fascinating is that Showtek either scooped the track from these guys or was producing under a new name to avoid detection and criticism from his fan base. “90’s By Nature” drops December 29th.
