Albums | Food For Thought: Drake’s “Take Care”
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 7, 2011

[NOTE: the Tweet above is from June 24th, 2011]
Let me preface this post by saying, FNT is no saint nor do we pretend to be. We’ve slipped up numerous times in the past and will most likely continue to do so in the future. It’s just the nature of the beast. With that said, we are refraining from posting the most “buzzing” album we’ve seen in a long time, Drake’s “Take Care”. It’s not because we are scared, it’s not because we think we are above everyone else, it’s not because we don’t want you to hear it. It’s because at the moment we think its the right thing to do. It did well over 200k downloads off Hulkshare alone in the first 2.5 hours so it’s out there if you want it. We aren’t stopping you from typing “Hulkshare Drake Take Care” into your browsers. I simply want to give the following article and the related tweet I’ve posted above some much deserved attention, perhaps it’ll influence your decision.

Electro | Wynter Gordon – Buy My Love (Fareoh Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 6, 2011

You’ve heard the preview, you’ve heard it in a few sets, and now (thanks to Fareoh) this absolute MONSTER track is available for download on FNT. Avicii fans, don’t pass this one up, it’s very reminiscent of his work (see: the 1:30 mark and on). I’m expecting big things from this young gun…

Hip-Hop | New Linen – Making the Most
Posted by GMONEY on November 4, 2011
In order to prep everyone for their EP, which drops sometime in early 2012, New Linen is giving us a sneak peak at what’s to come. Making the Most is a clean acoustic/hip hop jam with a catchy chorus complimented by smooth verses. If this is a preview of whats to come, I can’t wait to hear what else New Linen has in store for us in 2012.

Bootleg, Electro | Deadmau5 – Strobe (Special Features Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on November 3, 2011
So last year Eden Anderson (Special Features) wrote me an email to my personal music blog’s account (which shall remain nameless because I am here to promote FNT) asking me to post his stuff. Though I hesitated at first (most of the emails we receive are garbage), I listened to his stuff and I immediately knew he had it. Now look how far he’s come. Blogs all over are posting his stuff. He’s going to blow up any day now. Be on the lookout for him and be sure to like his Facebook Page for instant updates on his newest releases. Without further adieu, allow me to present his newest bold take on an already classic track, Joel Zimmermann’s Strobe. Classic Special Features sound. Bonus Fareoh set from Halloween!

Indie | Bijan – Letters
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 3, 2011
I’m not serving the average cup of FNT banger or hip hop tea with this one. Much to the contrary, this is caught somewhere in between an indie hop and Grieves track. I can definitely dig the change of pace, hopefully you can too…

RnB | The Weeknd ft. Lady Gaga & Illangelo – Marry The Night (Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on November 2, 2011
Now here at FNT we aren’t always up to date on the newest Gaga tracks, but we sure as hell are on point whenever The Weeknd puts out some new material. Abel Tesfaye was commissioned to remix Marry The Night for an upcoming Born This Way remix album that Lady Gaga is putting out November 21st. With his echoing, gospel like background vocals behind Gaga’s originals, The Weeknd signature touch is felt throughout the track.
