Albums | Ches Barrow releases single “Wild” to be featured in ITVBe TV Campaign
Posted by VMan on November 16, 2022
Following the release of her debut EP, ‘Girl Who Ruled The World’, Ches Barrow returns with the immense single ‘Wild’. The talented songwriter wrote the track having been approached for a major luxury beauty TV commercial on ITVBe for her luxury beauty brand, Ches Editions (she’ll also be starring in the commercial).
When speaking about ‘Wild’, Ches said: “I of course wrote it with the aesthetic and vibe of the ad in mind; envisioning a fashion-runway edge with the models doing their thing and a low-key ‘luxury beauty’ depth. But it also is absolutely naturally an extension of my artistic-style and musical growth. The lyrics (‘I shake my hair’) attest to Ches Editions’ ‘hero product’ being featured: The Ultimate Oil for Hair. The product and brand is about ‘clean luxury beauty’ and goes against the grain of its competitors; existing as 100% Natural with zero synthetic ingredients. The song encapsulates this fearlessness.”
Produced by Ches, mixed by Grammy and Emmy Award-Winning Carl Glanville (U2, Jason Mraz, Joan Jett, Counting Crows) and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne), the track without a doubt empowers you to have confidence within yourself mirrored in its impressive production. Ches, who’s previously received support from the likes of Earmilk, Wordplay and Fame Magazine, openly sings about her experiences, while showcasing her effortless voice:
“My dream has always been about the songwriting and it feels so gratifying to have finally got to a place where I allowed myself to believe in me so much and the result of the production is something I’m truly proud of. This is the culmination of my so-far life’s work to fruition; my growth as an artist and person is in the ‘fearlessness of ‘Wild’; and that it’s going to be in the commercial for my brand that I’ve also worked so hard for and has such a vital message, is everything. I’m here for all of what believing in myself as an Artist brings”
With her relatable songwriting and sync so soon after her debut EP, Ches’s signature songwriting and stamp continues to be heard.
Techno | Point Blank Shares About History Of Techno Music
Posted by VMan on November 17, 2016
Techno fans have a special treat today. The electronic music school has released a video discussing not only the history of techno music, but also production tips discussing, in detail, elements of education for the Ableton user. James Wiltshire, who has been featured talking about historical and production points with Point Blank before, uses his charming UK voice and impressive intellect to deliver a balance of history and knowledge.
Dope facts you probably didn’t know if you got into dance music this decade: Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson began to create what is now known as early Detroit Techno. Early tech-heads were influenced by the book Third Wave – I won’t give away any more interesting facts – but the video is worth the watch.

Chill | “The Gifted One (Sebastian Wibe Remix)” Is A Rock / Electro-Pop Hybrid You Should Hear

Mosimann is one of France’s biggest dance music producers, having been featured on a variety of national TV spots around the country (and Europe) as well as being one hell of a showman (Mosimann has also created a custom DJing tabletop that allows his fans to see him DJ during his live sets). His previous release “The Gifted One” was a dope present from the solo producer in 2016. He’s now expand the themes of this original more so with fresh remixes from the likes of Florian Kempers, Sebastian Wibe, Zetyd, and his own person edit of the tune.
It was “The Gifted One (Sebastian Wibe Remix)” that captured my attention today, the single is as if Sum 41 and an electronic pop song had a baby – a startling unique balance of raw boldness and power alongside glistening flowing electronic vocals, the platform for this being provided by Mosimann’s original production and the voice of Uhre. “The Gifted One (Sebastian Wibe Remix)” is not to be missed.

Hip-Hop | The Farrow Drops “Snap Tho” Produced By Taylor Mayde

Minnesota rapper, The Farrow, brings back that early 2000’s Neptunes bounce with his new single “Snap Tho.” Chanting boastful lyrics between thunderous “ohh’s” and “yeah’s”, the timing is perfect for this record to make waves this summer. The Farrow is a recent signee to Sony RED, with his debut single “I’m On A Wave” tearing through New York’s top nightclubs and being featured this month on Hot 97, Power 105 and more.
Currently based in NYC, the Farrow has a refreshing take on music paired with a creative style that expresses life and fame through an energetic musical lens. In a time where content seems impersonal and lacking in creativity, The Farrow’s candid perspective cracks the lid on an untapped genre itching to be heard.
