Progressive House | Pryda – Rotonda
Posted by Middy on June 25, 2013
The much anticipated B-side to the hauntingly addicting “Layers“, released last week, “Rotonda” rounds out the 25th release on Eric Prydz‘s Pryda Recordings. One of the more requested tracks on his forum, Pryda has been playing out “Rotonda” for a long time now and revealed the final copy in the latest episode of EPIC Radio. In classic Pryda fashion, the song builds and builds with seesawing strings, an unrelenting bass line and a crescendo that will drive your memory straight back to any Pryda concert you have been to. No word on why he decided to split up the release, but in this single driven market, it makes sense for each individual track to get its due.

As part of Toolroom Records’ ADE compilation, Jeremy Olander has released his next single “Norrsken” or Northern Lights in Swedish. First premiered on EPIC Radio episode 004, Jeremy Olander continues his hallmark house tracks that build and build with a sturdy bass line, subtle atmospheric melodies, gentle, playful arps and chopped vocal bits. Jeremy Olander has been on fire lately with releases like The Rose Law / Rorschach EP and “Audio Bug“, so expect more in this strong finish to 2012 from the young Swedish Pryda Friends asset.

DJ-Set, House | Eric Prydz Presents: EPIC Radio 004
Posted by Middy on October 4, 2012
Set to release October 15th, “Everyday” is simply genius, there isn’t much more or less to it. In the mean time you can always listen to the Pryda album, or to his podcasts, of which he just released the 4th installment, which unveils brand new unfinished Pryda material because as he says “Here on EPIC Radio, I get to do what the f*uck I want”. The radio show also features a great new track from Jeremy Olander, “Norrsken”, or “Northern Lights” in Swedish. He finishes off the show with a classic of his under his pseudonym Moo. Tracklist after jump.
DJ-Set, House | Fehrplay – Nightride
Posted by Middy on September 25, 2012
When Fehrplay is not photobombing Eric Pyrdz’s pictures he is hard at work putting together great house tunes. Following up his two track EP, Incognito / Runaway, “Nightride” provides a totally unique sound with a funky bass line, a smattering of pitched effects, and male vocal bits rounding out this eclectic track. Pryda Friends always releases a unique, refreshing sound in the style of its headmaster, Eric Prydz and “Nightrider” fits right in. Also included is a much belated posting of Eric Prydz’s third episode of EPIC radio that recaps his summer US tour with a whole host of unreleased material including a song with Steve Angello that will probably never get released and his sublime “The Veldt” edit that blows all others out of the water. Tracklist after the jump.
