Dubstep, Electro | ELECTRONIC | New Skrillex – Cat Rats
Posted by Juicebox on December 14, 2010

For all of you who went through the emo/hardcore phase like I did (sadly), Skrillex, also known as Sonny Moore, was the front man for the band From First to Last. After a few attempts at solo projects he released his first EP in October 2010 which was an instant hit securing 8 of the 10 top spots on Beatport. Skrillex kills it with his unique ability to balance grungy heavy whomps with soft synths and piano, he’s almost his own genre of electronic music. Buy the EP here!

Hip-Hop | HIP-HOP | Collie Buddz, Sean Kingston, J.D., & Tupac
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 13, 2010
I’m thrilled that Collie Buddz decided to revamp his career by going on a college tour and releasing new tracks. He’s supposed to be dropping a free EP on January 18th, but as everyone knows dates are never definite in the music industry. Follow him on Twitter if you want to stay in the loop. Jermaine fans will be all over his Rihanna remix and our hip hop heads should appreciate the TuPac track. Supposedly there are a few more unreleased Tupac tracks that we should be getting our hands on in the near future Sean Kingston sounds like a huge sally on this one but it’ll definitely be a radio hit… meh…

Electro, Hip-Hop | DUBBS- Generation Party EP
Posted by Juicebox on October 26, 2010
DUBBS, a sick electro-house rap group from Toronto, Canada, recently hit me with a few tracks from their EP, ‘Generation Party”. DUBBS is currently shooting a reality show with Much Music (Also know as MTV Canada), and have toured with the likes of LMFAO, Steve Aoki, and Girlicious. Their dynamic personalities and style, combined with their “having a good time is our way of life” philosophy really creates the “DUBBS” sound. Check them out below.
Techno | Collin McLoughlin- Cooler Than Me
Posted by Juicebox on October 21, 2010
Fresh off his trip from Dallas hanging with Fresh New Tracks and grammy award winning Play-N-Skillz, Collin blesses us with an impromptu track to hold us over until his upcoming EP. Collin hit me with this last night and I’ve had it on repeat since then. Dare I say that it’s perhaps on par or better than the original? Get this, he recorded this in his closet off his laptop. Although it’s not mastered, it still sounds ridiculous. I told you he was a star. By the way, be on the look out for a “Deuces” remix in the near future and some really big news that you’ll only get here first.
Hip-Hop, Videos | Brothers From Another- No Shirt

BFA (one year anniversary) from Zac McConnell on Vimeo.
Since I’ve been away all weekend, I finally got around to checking my gmail this morning. As I turned down people left and right, slowly getting beaten down by the forces of musical mediocrity, I come across something genius in my inbox. I click on their site, come across their bio, and this is what I read.
It started at the beginning like anything else does. Just us living life with no sense of direction and an over heightened sense of wild abandonment.
To put things simply nothing ever happens unless you make it happen.
Finally, an artist with a concise dossier that holds your attention! Vuala! The video is directed by Zac McConnell and the track is produced by Justo. This is their official single off their upcoming EP, “Two Weeks Vacation” which does not have a release date yet. Although I don’t know much at this point, what I do know is that I’m looking forward to hearing more music from these polar opposites.
RnB | Sid Sriram- Be Easy, Acoustic Sessions (EP)
Posted by Juicebox on October 4, 2010

When Sid Sriram hit me with his EP, I was impressed. I’m really not one that’s into acoustic music. Sid, however, really caught my attention. I spoke to Sid today and I got a little bit of his intriguing personal story. Sid is originally from India and is currently interning at Atlantic Records. Eventually, he moved to the states and found himself in Los Angeles where he currently resides. When I asked him to describe his sound he told me that was essentially and admixture between R&B and Indie, which in my opinion, speak volumes about his unique style and voice.
Although Sid has been singing since he was only four years old, he’s been waiting until now to share his voice with the world. That being said, Fresh New Tracks is proud to exclusively present, Sid Sriram’s debut project, “Be Easy, Acoustic Soul Sessions”. Be sure to hit the jump to check out his siiick covers of Drake’s “Find Your Love” and Travis McCoy’s “Billionaire” below.
