Electro-House | OVERWERK – 12:30

Posted by on March 21, 2013

Overwerk - 12:30One of the coolest uses of ABBA samplings I have heard. Overwerk pulled out the stops on this track, taking us into a heavy Electro drop with all the fixings. The finishing touch at the end of the track leaves you wanting and wishing for more.

Electro-House | Armin van Buuren & W&W – D# Fat

Posted by on February 25, 2013

D# fat

First things first: Armin van Buuren might have a production credit on “D# Fat,” but it ain’t trance. Nope, this collaboration with Dutch powerhouses W&W is electro to the core; in fact, it takes a leaf out of the book of “The Code” (another W&W special) and delivers a pounding bassline and hard-hitting, crunchy synth leads. Don’t let the piano riffs at the beginning fool you — this track packs a massive wallop and is sure to get dance floors moving as we head into the WMC home stretch. In all, “D# Fat” is a reflection of the next wave of progressive and electro house — it combines the best elements of both genres to great effect.

Electro | The Presets – Fail Epic (Owl Vision Remix)

Posted by on February 17, 2013

Owl VisionOwl Vision delivers another hot Electro remix. It is cool to see how the track progresses into heavier Electro as it goes on. The long smooth intro is a nice touch for making good use of the vocals. Too bad this wasn’t out on friday because it would have been my track of the weekend.

Electro | Nero – Guilt (N3AKO Remix)

Posted by on January 15, 2013

There are many remixes of Nero, but few stand out. N3ako made one of the dirtier Electro remixes I have heard of this track. After previewing this a few weeks ago, the download is now available for our enjoyment. This remix just screams rave.

Dubstep, Electro, Electro-House, Preview | Feed Me – Death By Robot EP

Posted by on January 10, 2013

Feed Me (AKA Spor) has been very busy the past months, it’s not easy being the CEO of Deadmau5′ record label, Mau5trap, while owning your own Drum & Bass label, Lifted. You can tell he enjoys his work though, which is why this next EP of his will be just as good as the last. Every new EP of his seems to reflect different styles. I don’t think he’s lost but I do believe he loves trying any and everything. His new EP title track “Death By Robot” sounds like it is going to be the best Electro-House track he has ever done. I know that is a tall order, but just from this small clip I am dying to have a full copy. “Gravel” is a dirty sounding Electro and Tech-House blend. Could be a little repetitive for some, but I feel like in a live setting it is just what the doctor ordered. “Dial Up Days” was a little hard for me to decipher, it’s Dubstep but Breakbeat but also Nu-Dance. Besides confusing this turned out to be a really cool, not your usual, laid back tune to dance to. Only six days away, Feed Me’s new EP releases on January 6th.

Electro | Dirtyphonics – I Need Your Love

Since Dirtyphonics released their recap video from Vegas a few days ago, fans have been begging for them to release the funked out Electro banger featured. As the group stated with the free release of the track today, Christmas came early. It always feels like forever since the last time I thoroughly enjoy a strictly Electro track. Dirtyphonics delivered an everlasting blow to the pleasure receptors in my brain. Going hard on a Monday night? Why not?

Dubstep | R Rated #55

Posted by on November 15, 2012

I found it very difficult tonight to pull up a lot of tracks perfect for R Rated, eh, it happens. Let’s have Bassex start this one off right.

Now Konec has a sweet EP coming out on November 19th, it contains a few sweet originals of his, but also this filthy Dubstep/Electro remix from Poisound. The clip below shows the Dubstep half of the track and the Electro half. Damn, he brought the heat with this remix.

Next we have a good-bye (for now) from LFOMG. He will be taking a hiatus from producing for a while, but made sure not to leave us empty handed.

Teen is just another one of those randoms that cross my path, lucky for him it happened to be in prep for this post. Starts out with an alien like intro then drops into some crazy filth. Was not expecting something like this.

Time to finish off with a bang. Just found out who Davip was the other day. This remix of his just dropped a few days ago off Backdrafts “Revolution Remixes.” Sev and I are suckers for the Reggae vibes mixed with Dubstep. This track takes it in a direction neither of us are use to. Breakbeat, Reggae Filth.
