House | EDX Closes Out His Massive Year With His New Remix of The Avener’s “We Go Home”
Posted by Tay on December 14, 2015
EDX has managed to continually impress us with his growth as a producer, even now, twenty years into his lengthy career. 2015 has been the Swiss dance authority’s biggest year yet, as he’s hit on tracks like his remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love” and Spada’s “Catchfire (Sun Sun Sun)” that quickly vaulted themselves to the top spot of the Beatport charts. Now, he’s finishing his impressive year in style, with a vibe-infused remix of The Avener’s “We Go Home.” Letting Adam Cohen’s powerful croons stay as the center of attention, EDX eloquently layers a smooth bass line with uplifting piano riffs and synth progressions to give his remix a deep groove. You can get your own copy of the track below, and check out EDX’s new tour dates after the jump.

When you’ve been around the scene for as long as EDX has, you pick up a few tricks here and there that help you streamline your entire workflow. For the Swiss dance authority, that means his already-strong ear for production is only getting better, making it easier than ever for him to deliver quality house productions. Take a look at EDX’s releases from 2015 and you’ll see that he’s hit on nearly all of them across the board – “Remember House” to kick off the year, “Belong” and his “Indian Summer” remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love” over the summer, and to close out the year strong, EDX has released two massive tracks from his arsenal, “Revered” and “Want You (Then I Found You).” The former is a tech house masterpiece with thumping synths and a smooth vocal topline, while the latter features BB Diamond delivering her iconic croons over a deep house anthem. On top of his rigorous release schedule, EDX will be taking over Create Nightclub in Los Angeles this weekend and Ruby Skye in San Francisco in December for two special nights of his NoXcuses parties that you don’t want to miss.

One of the hardest working dance artists around, EDX, is always on his game, and this year, he’s stepped it up as he’s seemed to pull ahead with relentless output of both originals, remixes, radio shows – all while he’s constantly on tour. Up until now, he’s released around 3 new originals (with two more on the way) and three remixes – one of which is his remix of Sam Fedlt’s “Show Me Love” that was one of the most “Shazam-ed” songs in Ibiza this past summer season. Additionally, he’s still running his popular weekly mix show, No Xcuses, that’s 230+ episodes deep, which is quite the feat when you take into account everything else he tackles.
EDX’s No Xcuses radio show is also an internationally renowned party, which has graced nightclubs from Zurich, to Miami, to Las Vegas, and abroad. These have been heralded as some of EDX’s best events, and they’re set to come to Los Angeles’ Create Nightclub next Saturday, November 7th, and San Francisco’s Ruby Skye on Friday, December 11th. Coming off of a huge summer, EDX is locked into his ranking amongst house music’s elite, and he’s maintaining his upward trajectory with releases and touring, as always. A couple of weeks ago, he announced “Want You (Then I Found You),” which is the vocal version of “Want You,” and he just unveiled “Revered” via Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 the other Friday. Up until now, EDX has been pushing his feel-good, groovy house vibes, but he’s taking a left turn with “Revered,” which seems to be made specifically for the club with its combination of vocals, darker feel, and powerful low-end. “Revered” will be released on Monday, November 2nd.

EDX has been on a tear this year. He started 2015 off strong with “Remember House,” his most groove-driven to date, and continued to showcase his matured sound with outputs like “Want You,” before kicking off the summer with one of the biggest remixes of the year, his “Indian Summer” remix of Sam Feldt’s track, “Show Me Love.” In the midst of all that, EDX wasn’t back home in Switzerland, or kicking back on the beach in Los Angeles, rather the house luminary has been embroiled in two massive world tours – first, his “Progression of Sound” world tour, then his “Want You” tour, and now, he’s on his “Belong” tour. With just two months of the year left, EDX is bringing back “Want You” with an added twist, as he’s teamed up with BB Diamond to turn “Want You” into “Want You (Then I Found You)” – a soulful vocal rendition of the track. Stream it above or on Spotify, and check out EDX’s upcoming tour dates after the jump. “Want You (Then I Found You)” will be released on Friday, October 30th.
