Hip-Hop | Accent — Careless (feat. Hunter Stout & Lyric Lincoln) [Prod. DJ Grumble]
Posted by jeffwbaird on August 24, 2013
Accent is back and as lyrically sharp as he’s ever been, teaming up here with vocalists Hunter Stout and Lyric Lincoln (who we previously heard on Dylan Owen’s “The Window Seat”) for this upbeat breakup jam. Armed with an uptempo, sample-laden beat from DJ Grumble and a catchy hook, Accent takes the track the extra mile rhyming three 8-bar verses with more rhyme-schemes at work then most artists can muster in twice the space. His new mixtape, With A Little Help From My Friends II (see Kinetics’ part one here), is due out this fall, and is guaranteed to continue to merge his advanced lyricism with some more aesthetically-pleasing soundscapes.

Continuing his streak of putting out one hit after another, Jackson Breit is back with a brand new single entitled “While I’m Driving” produced by DJ Grumble. With such an impeccable voice, Jackson Breit can really do no wrong and this latest release is a clear example of that. His voice perfectly compliments the groovy instrumental. If you missed his last single “It’s On Tonight” be sure to check that out below as well. Let us know what you think and do not forget to become a fan of Jackson Breit on Facebook.
Hip-Hop | Kia Albertson – Rogers feat. Dylan Owen – It Bes Like That (Prod. DJ Grumble)

Just came across this track via Dylan’s page, and was immediately hooked by the laid-back beat and lively, lyrical verses. DJ Grumble, who has previously done some great work with Dylan and KAM Royal, laced the summer-style instrumental, and Dylan and newcomer Kia Albertson-Rogers trade intricate and punchline-heavy verses. This is the first song I’ve heard from Kia, but it makes a great first impression, and Dylan’s flow and punchlines here are as on-point as ever (“’cause recycling your verses isn’t fucking ecofriendly”). Do yourself a favor and give the track a listen, and check out Kia’s page for the rest of his debut mixtape, Yesterday, Tomorrow.
