Albums | Chaz Cardigan & The Gifted Connect For “Feels Like I Know You”
Posted by VMan on May 14, 2021
Nashville singer/songwriter Chaz Cardigan connects with L.A. based duo The Gifted for a feel-good new collaborative single called “Feels Like I Know You” that goes over a relatable topic that only some people are lucky enough to fully understand. The indie pop anthem proves once again that Chaz is a rising star in the alternative pop space and excites me for what’s next for his project. Read a quote from him on the meaning of “Feels Like I Know You” below and check out the track above now!
“Social media really nurtures this desire we all have to be seen, and to find intimacy with strangers. You see someone’s life in pieces every day on your feed, and your brain puts them all together, like, ‘yes, I know them, we’re close! Just yesterday they went for a drive to their parents’ place.’ We’re all guilty of becoming friends with people who have no clue we exist. “Feels Like I Know You” is about that disconnect between following someone at a distance everyday, and the easy, honest jump in logic to considering them a friend — or more. The weird consequence of everyone being a brand is that everyone, famous or not, we’ve all got these parasocial bonds with total strangers now; I really wanted to follow that idea to its extremity. Everybody’s a stranger, so no one’s a stranger; “1’s and 0’s, it’s just as real as skin”.” – Chaz Cardigan
Pop, R&B | Watch The Fierce New Visual for Mulay’s “Antracyte”
Posted by VMan on January 19, 2021
Rising Berlin-based alternative R&B singer-songwriter/producer/artist Mulay just dropped this enticing new music video for her song “Antracyte” ahead of her forthcoming EP that is dropping via Groenland Records. Tune into the sassy single above now and keep your eyes on Mulay, she’s got something special going on here. Read a quote from her after the jump!
“ANTRACYTE is the intro and title track to my debut EP. It’s the soundtrack to the birth of a villain and captures the moment of complete honesty to yourself about the awareness of doing wrong by the ones you love while feeling the inability to turn around. It’s about the desire to taste forbidden fruits, to cross and explore what lies beyond the line and the self-empowering feeling of playing by your own rules defeating the fear of consequences and the power of moral concepts. ANTRACYTE tells a story of contradicting emotions, a story of love, lust, pain and a longing for more. It’s about facing your own darkness and sins, about self-revelation, emancipation and about paying its price, resigning to your fate.”
House | Listen to Gryffin’s Amazing New Remix of Years & Years’ “Desire”

Everything Gryffin touches is absolutely magic. A few months ago, he unveiled an out-of-this-world remix of Years & Years’ “King,” as he blended his expertly crafted melodies with the indie soul of the UK band, but it seems like the NYC-based producer isn’t finished with his friends from across the pond. Gryffin’s latest effort sees him dabbling into Communion once again, as he turns “Desire” into a dance music classic. Years & Years frontman, Olly Alexander, is front and center on the remix, as Gryffin masterfully floats Alexander’s soulful croons atop a bed of dreamy melodies and evolving bass lines. Since storming onto the scene last year, Gryffin has been on a meteoric rise to the top, and with his “Desire” remix taking the honors of being the lead single off of the forthcoming We Are Your Friends, the future is bright for the young phenom.
