Preview, Progressive House | Marcus Schossow – Reverie (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 3, 2013
Axtone is known for releasing a select few quality tracks in each year that will have a lasting impact on the sound of that year. This year we have seen the impact of “Wakanda” and the hardstyle revival in mainstream house music, plus Axwell’s return to releases with his own “Center Of The Universe“. Now a staple of Axwell’s sets, “Reverie” from Swede Marcus Schossow will finally get its final release with a remix from Michael Calfan coming later in the summer. The track combines an ominous, spacey build with a hard-hitting, churning drop that should make this a summer favorite. Watch for this on July 12th.
Pop, Progressive House | Maroon 5 – Love Somebody (It’s The Kue Remix!)
Posted by Mel on June 29, 2013
My favorite song of all time is “Payphone” by Maroon 5. It is for that reason that I will always have a soft spot in my heart for them no matter what. I was already a fan of their original “Love Somebody” but DJ Kue made it that much better by adding a touch more energy to it and a great drop. I have had this on repeat since I first heard it.
Drum & Bass, Preview | Phuture Doom – Nightfall EP
Posted by Mach on June 24, 2013
OWSLA’s mysterious, Phuture Doom, is at it again. It sounds like a fantastic Drum & Bass tune, but considering the length of the clip, it could be anything. Though the clip is short, I am really excited from what I’ve heard. The video is trippy, so be ready for something out of the ordinary. The song will be a part of Phuture Doom’s upcoming “Nightfall” EP. No official release date yet.
Hip-Hop | Wale — Poor Decisions (feat. Lupe Fiasco & Rick Ross)
Posted by jeffwbaird on June 3, 2013
Wale’s upcoming third album, The Gifted, is gearing up to be one of his most consistent projects to date. While his debut was uneven and burdened by too many crossover attempts, his second was too MMG-influenced and aggressive. The first three leaks we’ve received from this new album, though, have all had that soulful style of Wale’s, which was the signature of his successful early mixtapes. This is the first of two new singles Wale dropped today in preparation for his album’s June 25th release, featuring a smooth Jake One beat and a couple quality guest verses courtesy of Lupe Fiasco and Rick Ross. Gotta love Lupe’s “olly olly oxen free” reference and the way he flips the chorus at the end, and Rozay’s verse isn’t half bad, either. June is shaping up to be a wonderful month for hip-hop.

Electro-House | Mikael Weermets – Panorama
Posted by Middy on June 1, 2013
Boom, another free download from me, how rare. Don’t worry I will be back to my Beatport posting ways soon enough, but for now enjoy this free download, because Mikael Weermets brings some heat. As a thank you to the fans for supporting him for the past 10 years, Swedish Dj / producer, Mikael Weermet has released “Panorama” for free. The track combines chunky electro elements with a big room melodic interlude, making this an ideal addition to his recent heavyset discography.
Inspired by a festival last summer, this track as he said “wrote itself” from the energy of the day before and soon turned into one of his most requested tracks to date. It has already been supported by the likes of Tiesto, Deniz Koyu, Matisse & Sadko, Michael Calfan & Tristan Garner, so take that as an indication that it is a worthwhile addition to your library as well.

Chill, Hip-Hop, Rap | Jetpack Jones ft. James Joseph – Solar (Prod. Brock Berrigan)
Posted by J_Salzer on May 23, 2013
Fresh New Track’s favorite emcee, Jetpack Jones, hits us with his latest masterpiece, Solar. Solar is different than most Jetpack tracks, but instead of leaving you all to struggle trying to find out what that special something is, I’ll just tell you. Jetpack recruited a singer to sing his hook. Usually, Jetpack sings his own hooks, but I think that this is a nice change up and let’s him focus on purely rapping. “Solar” is my favorite Jetpack track to date, and I’m sure his upcoming mixtape, Beyond Infinity, will have plenty of songs just like this for me to vibe to. Grab the track for free courtesy of the man and be on the lookout for the next single off of “Beyond Infinity”
