Hip-Hop | Jez Dior – Love Me To Death [Music Video]
Posted by Jess on January 8, 2013
Jez Dior turned heads when he released his debut single “Candles” a few months. The song quickly spread like wildfire across the blogosphere and reached #1 on The Hype Machine but the question remained, could he followup with another song of a similarly high caliber? That question is answered with the release of “Love Me To Death”. Less pop and more alternative, Jez Dior sheds more light on who he is and his history. The song is as strong if not stronger than “Candles” and affirms that Jez is here to stay and not just a one hit wonder. Dubstep | Ellie Goulding – Figure 8 (Xilent Remix)
Posted by Sev on December 17, 2012
It seems as though Xilent is back and in full force. This remix is probably one of his best, if not his best remix to date. This remix is everything you want in a track. It’s heavy on the bass, amazing female vocals, great melodies, just to cover a few points. Xilent nailed every aspect of the track and if you don’t believe me either listen to this on your speakers or at a show. Starting off with a slow intro alongside some pads, it sets a nice deep mood, but the drop is just crazy in so many aspects. Not to mention those great kick and snare’s that set the stage for the track. This remix goes in the must have Ellie Goulding remixes category for me.
Electro-House, Preview | Usher – Numb (Throttle Remix)
Posted by Mach on November 12, 2012
Usher is widely hated, but also widely loved. I hate Usher, but I will not deny my respect for his music, the guy is good. Usher also has many awesome remixes done of his music. This new remix comes from Throttle, this also happens to be his official remix for “Numb.” Though there is no release date on the remix yet, it is definitely well worth listening to anyways. Throttle came through, keep the master’s voice strong while also providing a handsome melody to follow.
Dubstep | Pretty Lights – Halloween Funtime REMIXMONSTRousMASHup
Posted by Mach on October 29, 2012
Halloween is not too far and of course artists have been releasing a hell-storm of tracks to suit the dark holiday. To my complete surprise, Pretty Lights jumped in on the festivities this year. With his album looming over our heads, I seriously did not expect him to release something for halloween. In this ‘mashup’ of his, he samples some good old Michael Myers. Using that day old piano repetition that can be recognized by all, but also breaking into some bass, Pretty Lights shows that even halloween can be consumed by his talents. While there is no date yet for his upcoming album, it is coming, and I can’t wait.
Dubstep | Crystal Fighters – Follow (Benga Remix)
Posted by Mach on October 18, 2012
“Follow” is one of Crystal Fighters best tracks, to date. Benga has actually given away this remix for free, exclusively in the UK though. Don’t worry though I got everyone on this. Benga stated months ago that he was retiring from Dubstep, so either he is trolling like Spor did or he is slowly going to give away the music he has left. Either way it’s nice to see we will still get some fresh music from the legend.
Hip-Hop, Videos | YONAS – Don’t Give A Damn [Music Video]

YONAS Nation, open your eyes and ears to the newest set of visual art for the Bronx bomber’s lead single off his most recent mixtape, The Transition. The most significant news of late is of course YONAS’ newly inked record deal with 1st Round Records, which may be just the platform he needs to catapult into the realm of hip-hops heavyweights. With a, “Don’t Give A Damn” attitude, YONAS once again linked up with his crew at Betterdays Media for a boisterous poolside shoot, solidifying this record as “the party hit” aiming to keep summer alive. Transparent to any negativity, YONAS continues to push for positivity, showing his fans just how to incorporate a lyrical message into an upbeat, fun track. With production by Sean Ross, this has been my go to playlist record off the mixtape since it dropped back in June.
“Just for the record I don’t smoke, but I might light it up if I was down at Michael Phelps’ house, hah”
Phelps is the best swimmer and arguably the best Olympian of all time, but have you ever seen him eat pizza under water? Riddle me that. It has been confirmed YONAS is working on his new EP, which can be expected on ??/??/????. Stay tuned! #YONASNation

Chill, Hip-Hop | Jetpack Jones – Glow ft. LB (Prod. by Casey Calhoun)
Posted by J_Salzer on September 30, 2012
Lakewood’s hardest working emcee, Jetpack Jones, is back and better than ever with my favorite single of his to date. I find myself saying that each single he releases is my favorite of everything he’s released, which shows how incredible his progression is. When I first heard his music, a year and a half ago, I immediately fell in love with his unique style of rapping. 18 months later, he’s stayed true to his rapping roots, all the while improving his craft. This is the second single off of his next project, Jetpack Odyssey. Grab the track below courtesy of Jetpack and make sure you like his Facebook page below.
