As he powers through the end of the summer shows, Hardwell keeps his fans at ease with his enormous collaboration with Dannic, “Survivors,” that saw its release earlier this month and now has a music video to go along with it. An uplifting but spine-tingling progressive house beast, “Survivors” hits home with its powerful emotion but also hits hard with its larger-than-life production. To demonstrate the influence of music, Hardwell and Dannic have released a music video that follow an ingenious girl through her discovery of music and into eventual discovery of life outside of the forest. You can watch it in full below, and “Survivors” is now out on iTunes.

Recent signees to Cash Money Records, the Stafford Brothers have announced the remix package for their debut single “Hello” on the Birdman led record label. Among names like Albin Myers, Dannic, Morten Breum, Damn Wright and Candyland, Henrix, one of our 13 to watch in 2013, steps to the forefront and releases his remix early for free download. The original sounded like Cash Money records was afraid to let a full-fledge dance track be released on its label and stripped down the potential of the Stafford Brothers work. In come the various remixers and here Henrix. His take on the track incorporates a acid fueled drop, melding together the melodic elements of the original and grittier, clubier additions to give the track the boost is so desperately needed. Also check out his remix of Tiesto’s “Love Comes Again” set for release February 4th.

Revealed Records protégé, Dannic makes his debut on Mark Knight’s powerhouse label Toolroom Records with a genre blending record that has already seen support from the likes of Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Axwell, Mark Knight & more. “Clobber” brings together the styles of Toolroom Records and Dannic with a prominent and infectious bass line that you can’t help but dance to. Native to Breda, NL, Dannic shows his versatility in his productions not just putting out progressive & electro tracks, but this more clubby track that is sure to see huge success.

DJ-Set | Weekend Mixes 1/10/13 Year End Edition Part 2

It is time for the weekend and since I missed last week, there is going to be A LOT of mixes in this post. I have about 24 hours of music and all of it good. We start things off with Hardwell’s yearmix that goes through his accomplished discography from this year and a selection of tracks from his label, Revealed Recordings. Next up is from yearmix from Nicky Romero that includes his numerous releases from this year and the unreleased “Symphonica”. Hook N Sling provides us with his take on 2012 in a high energy, bootleg heavy mix. Young Polish Dj Tom Swoon goes the extra mile and gives us 61 tracks in 2 hours for his year end mix, traversing genres from electro to trance to progressive.
After the jump we have the two latest episodes of The Drop that include exclusives from both guest mixers, Qulinez & Synchronice. Next week they are celebrating their 50 episode with mixes from Djs like Leon Bolier, Lazy Rich & Maor Levi all week so head to their Facebook page for full details. We are back with the 5th edition of Lift Off. Me and w8 have provided you with a bevy of quality tracks, the vast majority of them being free — something I know you all love so much. So without further ado get right into it because your ears have work to do. The Hardwell supported, Dannic remix of HELENA’s track with Mr. Wilson “Girl From The Sky” gives us his take on the track, bolstering the melody by giving synths a fuller body and more anthemic feel. The vocal has been released for free, so DJs go for it.

Betatraxx and Morten Breum combine on “Get Static” the first single on Betatraxx’s “Mercury” EP that combines a whole host of different styles from heavy electro to more more subtle piano and string builds. This superb production provides a breath of air with its eclectic sounds.
Primacy Funk gets a two spot on the 5th edition of Lift Off, first with this track that utilizes blissful chords to create this feel good track.
Next up we have the enigmatic Russian Erik Taylor better known to the world as Archie, who has of late failed in some aspects to live up to lofty expectations set by his early productions, but this time he switches it up a little combining guitar with his signature Archie sound.
Next we get into bit more of an emotive melody from Lars, combining infectious vocals with a superb piano melody.
