Rusty K Freakuency 620x391 Rusty K FreakuencySpeaking of Neuro-hop, Drum & Bass producer owned face with this insane Neuro-hop clip. The intro is very different from what we have been hearing from other tracks in this sub-genre, best part is, so is the drop. My mind was blown instantly at the drop, it is one of the dirtiest things I have ever heard. You can sure I will be waiting day by day for this original to release.

daft punk random access memories 500x500 Daft Punk to release album Random Access Memories May 21st, Pre Order now

With the full court press being put on by Columbia hyping up this album all over the web and all over the world, putting up posters and slowly releasing small bits of relatively inconsequential information about Daft Punk’s 4th artist album, we can finally say we are the stretch run of the release. The album “Random Access Memories” will be released on May 21st and lets pray there are not any last minute delays. There are no names for any of the 13 songs, but you have the lengths of each of the tracks. Electro-House | Fedde le Grand & Sultan + Ned Shepard – Long Way From Home

Posted by on March 18, 2013

In the lead up to Ultra, Fedde le Grand & Sultan & Ned Shepard did a 2 week bus tour across the US, “On The Road To Ultra” and this collab of their’s was the anthem. “Long Way From Home” is a rework of RL Burnside’s 1978 blues tune “Poor Boy A Long Way From Home“, keeping the catchy guitar riffs and vocals of the original and adds their own electronic spin on it with grungy, distorted electro and punchy bass lines. You may have caught Fedde play this during the first 15 minutes of his set at Ultra, so do not hesitate to grab this unofficial anthem below. Updated with official video clip.

Dubstep, Preview | Alvin Risk – SKYCLAD

Posted by on February 25, 2013

Alvin Risk SKYCLADIt is about time Alvin Risk had a good release. I am so sick of hearing sick new tracks in his live sets and then when he makes a release it’s one of the worst things I have ever heard. Sadly the official preview leaves out the most important part of the track that helps a person decide if they like it or not, the drop. Don’t be sad for long because I happened to find a little clip ripped from a mix that plays out what we want to hear. It is because of this that I have finally come to the conclusion that Alvin Risk still has it, he just needs to start making more releases to prove it. “Skyclad” releases March 5th on OWSLA.

Dubstep, Electro-House, Preview | Skrillex – Puppy

Posted by on February 18, 2013

Well it seems that Skrillex may have an album coming this Summer. It is about time he started to make releases from his massive vault of tracks. The video is a commercial for G-Star Denim, which features the first known single that may or may not be a part of the album. ”The Art of RAW,” (clearly a play on words of the book, “The Art of War”), is described by Skrillex as a blend of Electro-House, Dubstep, and fidget. An interesting blend for sure, I am happy that I actually enjoy this clip. The “Bangarang EP” was boring in my opinion, it baffles me that Skrillex managed to pull a Grammy from the title single. A creatively wild track such as this only leaves me wondering if an album would be all that we have been hoping for over the past 2 years. At this point it’s hard to say, and just as Skrillex has stated LPs in the past, this Summer could end up another disappointment. I’m sure there is just a lot of confusion between his upcoming Dog Blood releases and his new project with Diplo and A-Trak.

Edit: Well, it turns out that the track is not called “The Art of Raw” but is in fact named “Puppy”.

Dubstep | Tristam & Braken – Flight

Posted by on February 15, 2013

Tristam & Braken FlightThis is one of the best Dubstep tracks out right now. After giving everyone the biggest tease of a clip earlier this week, we can finally dip our ears into the amazing melody of this track. Tristam & Braken turned out to be a dynamic duo with this. In a way I hope that no one remixes this, it is just too good to waste bad remixes on. To be honest, I have no idea who Braken is and I cannot for the life of me find his Facebook. Monstercat doesnt even refer to Braken. Who ever he is, I want to know. Big ups to both Tristam and Braken for this incredible track.

Preview, Trance | Dash Berlin Ft. Chris Madin – Fool For Life (Dash Berlin 4AM Remix)

Posted by on February 11, 2013

Dash Berlin Ft. Chris Madin Fool For Life (Dash Berlin 4AM Remix)“#musicislife” is by far my favorite album of 2012. Since its release, the question on my mind has been, which track will Dash Berlin create a 4am remix of? I am happy that they chose “Fool For Life.” It is definitely one of my top 5 favorites from the album, but I feel it has more versatility for a remix than the other tracks do. Only having heard this preview of the remix, I have to say I enjoy Dash Berlin’s piano and synth progression much more than the original. The drop is something different than most Trance listeners are use to hearing. It has a little bit of a breakbeat vibe to it but still has that progressive flow anyone can fall in love with. This remix makes me even more excited to soak in ASOT at UMF this year. This remix is set to release on Aropa Records on February 28th.
