Electro, Events | Glitch Mob Summer Tour

FNT was lucky to kick off the 4th of July weekend at Red Rocks, CO with 4 hours of freeform jamming and headbanging bass. MiMOSA started the crowd off with an amazing set, stringing pop and dub together seamlessly. The crowd hyped, Lotus kept up the energy with the kind of epic, hour-long jam sesh Red Rocks is known for. But the thousands of fans had only been warmed up, for The Glitch Mob’s amazingly well-prepared audiovisuals. Seriously. It looked like Cirque du Soleil had decided to choreograph a show to the Mob’s hard kicks and monstrous synths, painting the canyon walls in an ethereal mix of colors and dancing shadows. After witnessing them absolutely crush Red Rocks, we aren’t going to miss them in Dallas tomorrow, make sure to check out their tour dates . Armin is the man and he just released a remix CD of Mirage that has some very good remixes on it. Some of you may think it is blasphemous to remix Armin, but give these remixes a chance. You already know and have the Avicii remix of Drowning, so I will get to the other releases on this album. Here five highlights from the 30 song CD. The entire thing is really good and well put together, which you can expect from Armin. If you like these then also check out the Dash Berlin 4am remix of Not Giving Up On Love and both remixes of I Don’t Own You by The Thrillseekers and Andy Moor. Oh yea, there is a new track.

Dubstep is becoming a huge genre. I do post a lot of it, but oddly enough it’s not my favorite genre. More of a house and trance guy but these electro and dubstep blend track are insane. Ftampa has always dropped some sick blends, this one might be his best yet. RUN DMT was finally given a chance at the big times just in time to be a part of the Mortal Kombat soundtrack this year. Teamed up with Bird Peterson, they dropped a remix to be remembered.

I saw Above & Beyond on Saturday night and it absolutely blew my mind, they were just unreal. If you have a chance to see them make sure you do because it is a show you won’t forget. Here is the bonus song that they released for free from their Group Therapy Hub. It is a vocal mix of Hope from Tri-State.

I was really feeling the lightning for this. I saw the name of this track and almost didn’t even give it a chance. I listened to it, and it is insane! In a way it reminds me of “Cracks” from Flux Pavilion. It feels like all that ever releases now is remixes, but they are all awesome. Prepare for an insane drop.
