Ambient, Chill | Budo Gets Experimental On “An Elderly Woman Named Jeff”

For what sounds like a heavily Apex Twin influenced song “An Elderly Woman Named Jeff” by Budo is a somewhat overwhelming original. The unconventional sounds fuse together to make a concoction of jazz, hip-hop, & electronic music over the five minutes of the record. Budo’s older releases “Barcelona” and “Helsinki” featured more live trumpet throughout the track which gave them a more organic feel to them, while on “An Elderly Woman Named Jeff” only the outro features the brass instrument, but it is just what the outro needed.
