Preview, Progressive House | Above & Beyond – Mariana Trench [Preview]

Above & Beyond premiered this at ABGT 50 and now we’ve got a full-ish version to stream at our leisure. In form and structure, “Mariana Trench” bears quite a bit of resemblance to the trio’s homage to Breaking Bad, “Walter White”; both tracks have hard, driving basslines that fade into melodic breaks, before electro-inspired builds jack the energy level back up. And is that a key change at the end? Goodness. This may be yet another departure from the group’s trancier Tri-State days but it’s sure to be an absolute monster live. No word on a release date yet so keep your eyes peeled.

It’s Sunday, which means you may need something chill music to relax to. However, Breaking Bad is coming to an end, which will elevate blood pressure and heart rates worldwide, possibly cause a few panic and heart attacks, par for the course. Dubstep | AFK – Killionaire EP

I’ve been waiting on this EP for quite some time now. The master of ‘yoys’ , AFK, has just unleashed another monstrous dubstep EP. Filled with all sorts of goodies to please a variety of bass lovers. The Dallas based producer has been destroying the scene with his heavy hitting tracks for quite some time now, so it is nice to see that people are starting to take note of him. This EP contains one of my favorite tracks from him, and that’s Pinkman. This track has some nice samples from Breaking Bad and not to mention one of the heaviest drops I have heard in a while. The EP also contains two outstanding collaborations with Spenca, who gives the EP some texture and variety. The two artist seem to go hand in hand so I wouldn’t be surprised if more collabs came pouring out of these two. Also on the EP are two solid remixes of On The Floor, provided by Melamin and Rekoil. As a treat before the EP was released AFK also gave out this VIP of Boombahstick, which is crazy in itself. Grab the free DL from below.

Aaaaand Marc Goone is back with his best video to date. Marc is easily one of the most creative artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of being acquainted with. When I began watching and tweeting about Breaking Bad, Marc and I bonded over our love for Walter Jr. and when he told me he was making a video based on the hit series, I was ecstatic. Without a great track, this video would be nothing, and on that score, Marc delivers. The beat, produced by Aaron Zuckerman, has a creepy, edgy feel that Marc takes over with a catchy hook and hard verses.
