Dubstep, Moombahton | SKisM – Experts (xKore Remix)

Posted by on October 24, 2012

SKisM is set to release part 3 of his Division Series on October 29th, but it wouldn’t be right if he didn’t continue his streak of giving a free download before its release. Today we got a great freebie of xKore’s monstrous official remix for this track, thanks to Inspector Dubplate for the upload. It wouldn’t be an xKore track without his bouncy synths, aggressive growls and heavy bass. We have seen xKore dabble in the slower BPM’s from his last EP such as his track Everybody Rock. You can’t really blame someone with so much talent for destroying other genres as xKore has proven to us again in this track. Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Sub Focus – Out The Blue (Oscillator Z Remix)

Posted by on September 15, 2012

Sub Focus’s Out The Blue had to be my favorite single from him this year because of the outstanding vocals on the track as well as the overall construction, so whenever I saw this remix up on Soundcloud I knew Oscillator Z had some big shoes to fill. He did an impressive job on this remix to say the least. He was able to keep the vocals intact and appealing with the melody spiced up to his liking, which gave it nice electro sounding quality to it. The drumstep drop worked so well with this track keeping the BPM between dubstep and drum and bass with his distorted synths.

Dubstep, Moombahton | Varien – Mirrors

Posted by on February 10, 2012

This track portrays a new style of BPM change mid-track that we have been seeing a lot of lately by other big names in dubstep. Varien starts off nice and dirty in this track with heavy bass and ruff synths. The track starts out as a drumstep track and changes midway to a slow heavy Moombahcore track. Recently we have seen the likes of Doctor P, Cookie Monsta and other names doing the same thing in their tracks. Get this track on Beatport HERE.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Electro-House, Moombahton | Kid Womp Genres EP

Posted by on February 7, 2012

Kid Womp , aka Sergio Tufino, is a producer out of Austin, Texas on the verge of releasing his second EP titled “Genres”. The EP contains tracks in Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Moombahton, Electro-House, and Progressive showcasing Kid Womp’s versatility. The EP is set to release this Monday, but we all know waiting is over-rated, so as soon as Kid Womp’s FACEBOOK page hits 1200 likes we will release the EP exclusively on the site. Here is a little preview of one of the tracks on the EP. Its a remix to Tony Igy’s Astronomia and it is an Electro-House banger. The switch of BPM around 3:20 in the track is nasty so be sure to give the full track a listen and like the FACEBOOK page as well.

Dubstep | Skrillex Bangarang EP

Posted by on December 23, 2011

The long gruesome wait for new material from Skrillex is finally over. The Bangarang EP has finally released, and although it doesn’t have all the tracks most people were looking for including myself, it is better than nothing. The worst part was finding out that Summit was actually the track everyone thought was called “Breathe”. I felt that “Right On Time” was just a track to take up space, because it was just an overall terrible track in my opinion. At one point throughout the track I felt like I should be doing the Melbourne shuffle, until the BPM finally changed in the middle of the track.

Kyoto is the track that stands out to me most as the top track for this EP. Although the many versions of Ruffneck Bass were leaked well in advance of their releases, this version blew them all out of the water. Devil’s Den was something different, and Wolfgang Gartner’s style could be seen through this track. I can’t blame Skrillex for putting these tracks out seeing as he just completed over 300+ shows in a year and managed his own label, but hopefully the next EP shows us why he was nominated for five Grammy awards. Here is the link to grab it on BEATPORT.

Dubstep | Knife Party News, Flume, Xaphoon Jones, and DREKKEN

Posted by on September 24, 2011

I finally gave into twitter, Im ashamed of myself, but it has turned out to be quite useful. Follow me Machbeats. Knife Party updated their twitter today with the announcement of a new EP (SHM please take notes on what a real announcement is). It is titled ‘100% No Modern Talking,” and will consist of 4 tracks, Internet Friends, Tournquet, Fire Hive, and Back To The Z-List. They plan to release the EP on Beatport and iTunes, but also stated that they will make the EP available FREE where ever possible. No word yet on the release date.

These next two remixes from Flume and Xaphoon Jones aren’t your usual dubstep styled tracks. Flume kicks it old school in a way with his style being nothing short of the coolest. Xaphoon, a little late on the Lights remix, starts it at a slow BPM, only to drop in with some faster BPM, indie vibed dubstep.

DREKKEN is one of those artist no one knows about. Those you that have listened to his tracks before know he is the s#!t. I like a lot of his trance/dubstep tracks, its a rare thing to find an artist who can pull that blend off. This track has been out for a bit, but I figured the people need to hear this hot remix.
