Albums | Tisoki Drops Brand New ‘Promise’ EP via Dim Mak

Posted by on April 10, 2020

Fluctuating between melodic soundscapes and heavy stick-to-your-rib beats, Tisoki’s Promise is an experimental spin on modern bass music. Led by the titular track “Promise,” featuring emerging talent LiL Lotus and Tisoki’s subsequent VIP reworking, the genre-fluid offering mixes elements of hip hop, emo, trap, and bass music into a cohesive stew, filled with heavy emotion and unwavering darkness.

This EP perfectly captures the direction I want my music to go. I feel like all of these records come together to create the next chapter of the ‘Tisoki’ sound. Collaborating with the vocalists across all of these records was a pleasure and a big learning curve for me and I’m super excited to see where this goes next.” – Tisoki

Bass | JACKNIFE Goes For Blood in “Fear” [via Bladed Black]

Posted by on February 21, 2020

A sonic display of all we know and love from the Aussie artist, JACKNIFE returns for a sinister “Fear.” Combining his bass and G-House efforts, JACKNIFE creates a truly wicked display of technical work.

Music as a career goes far beyond hobby and passion for this young producer. JACKNIFE’s music reflects dedication and commitment through its destructive live delivery. 2019 was a busy year, opening with an EP on The Prescription // Insomniac Records, followed by official remixes for MALAA (“Addiction,” CONFESSION Label) Dirty Audio (“West Coast,” Thrive Music) Matroda, “What Happened?” & ATLIENS, “F*ck That” (BASSRUSH), and singles with DIM MAK and Pinnacle Collective. The chaos really began with MALAA x JACKNIFE present “Revolt,” a mid-tempo house heater that raised hell in the neighborhood. JACKNIFE wrapped up the year with his first Witch Craft package, at the same time launching his own imprint under Pinnacle Music, Bladed Black Records.

Albums | NU LUXX returns with ASTRA

Posted by on April 20, 2018

One of my favorite new producer duos, NULUXX, returned last week with a brand new original on lowly house titled ‘Astra.’ I’ve been following these guys since I heard their recent Post Malone remix and it’s safe to say they did not disappoint again. This one is a bit heavier but has some technicality to the production which I appreciate. Hit play and see what the hype is all about. Available for free download here.

Bass | INF1N1TE Drops First Release Of The Year “IN My Head”

Posted by on February 12, 2018

“In My Head” show INF1N1TE has done it again. Yet this doesn’t do justice to the subtlety and intelligence of the track as a whole, which uses Tom-Waite-like deep bass and a gripping rhythm to really ensconce itself in your head. It is a synapse forming, neuron firing track, which you won’t be able to help listening to over and over again. It hovers in the space between strict electro music and drum and bass, and is a must listen to anyone interested in either genre.

INF1N1TE has had years of experience and is set to go even bigger in 2018, with shows, more music, and collaborations all planned soon.

Trap | URBANO & Greg Gatsby Drop Trap Banger “So Easy”

Posted by on October 6, 2017

Trap-club bangers continue to make their way into the dance scene, a statement conveying that bass isn’t leaving anytime soon in the states. Greg Gastby and Urbano, who have collectively had success on Spotify and Billboard charts, have teamed up to make a club banger “So Easy” that has a little bit of everything. Rap, 808, melodic moments, and more collide to make the experience rich and energizing, each part acting as a balancer to the other. Greg Gatsby and Urbano are examples of acts doing the dance-pop thing right, keep on these two for more goodies soon.

Bass | Becko Drops Metal-Influenced Bass EP “Reborn”

Posted by on October 4, 2017

Becko, a rising artist based out of Italy, has infused musical elements from the post-hardcore/metal world and injected it into various types of bass tracks. Reborn is the result, a four-track experience that leaves you with something new. Becko was formally the vocalist and bassist for the metal band Hopes Die Last, an aspect that has clearly given Becko an advantage to stand out. Reborn is a streak of freshness that’s always good to hear.
