Progressive House | Filo & Peri feat. Audrey Gallagher – This Night (Zack Edward Remix)
Posted by Mel on June 10, 2014
If you weren’t already impressed by that gorgeous cover art then get ready to possibly be impressed by the song it belongs to. Zack Edward is capable of Axtone quality cover arts but is he capable of Axtone quality tracks? hmmmm… Moving on, Zack Edward is a producer from NYC and has just put out what is probably his best track yet. It is a progressive house remix for Filo & Peri’s “This Night”, a trance song from 2010. The original is great and this remix certainly does it justice.

Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Hard Rock Sofa On Album “Most Important Thing For Us At Moment”
Posted by Middy on May 6, 2014
Hard Rock Sofa need little introduction. Though their rise to prominence has only been in the past 3-4 years, coinciding with the dance music boom Stateside, they have been making music since 2005. Approaching a decade of making music and it appears that they are hitting their stride (take notes kids, this does not happen overnight, unless you buy it), making tunes in a wide variety of sounds and styles.
We were supposed to sit down and chat with them the third day of E Zoo, but well I think we all know what happened. But we got the chance after “Arms Around Me” released to chat with them, so of course we did. We got to chat about their latest single “Arms Around Me” that was just released on Axtone, the impact of Sergey (the former third member of the group) leaving, their upcoming artist album and much more.

To celebrate, Don Diablo has told us his top 5 “Starlight” moments that include moments from Ibiza and the feeling of being accepted by “Axtone”. “Starlight” has been re-released on Ultra this week, so if you never picked it up go and do so now. Read those “Starlight” moments after the jump.
Progressive House | Deniz Koyu – Ruby

First premiered by Axwell at Tomorrowland, Deniz Koyu makes his long overdo debut on Axtone Records with “Ruby”. The tune gives you the vintage Koyu sound, with added piano and synth layers that take it from a good track to a great song. Deniz Koyu makes bombs, just look at his track record with tunes like “Bong”, “Tung” and “Hertz”. Axtone shows once again why it is one of the best labels around with this release.

Progressive House | Arty, Matisse & Sadko – RIOT

The Russian team who brought us the magical track on Axtone last year, “Trio”, Arty & Matisse & Sadko finish out their year with “RIOT”. You know what you are going to get with these three: stadium sized, sublime melodies and “RIOT” is just that, another flawless performance from these three. Spinnin’ has been become known for its somewhat repetitive festival-ready releases, so it is nice to see one of their bigger tracks come in the form of something melodic like “RIOT”.

Progressive House | Kryder – Aphrodite
Posted by Middy on September 2, 2013
Kryder has come quite a long way since his 2011 single on Musical Freedom “K2”. He has collabed with Tom Staar on remixes for SHM and Afrojack and broadened a sound to put out a diverse range of well-supported singles. This time he makes his eagerly anticipated debut on Axtone with “Aphrodite“, a track that has been a favorite of Sebastian Ingrosso‘s, Axwell and the gang for months now and especially during the summer months.
The funky, rolling bass lines that we saw in those past remixes are back in play, while horns round out the groove. Cleverly crafted piano melodies and synth leads bring a melodic component for a vintage Axtone feel. Upcoming on Axtone is Axwell’s “I Am” with Sick Individuals, which is just too good, and saw its radio premier over the weekend on NRJ Sweden.
