Mashups | DOSVEC – Dirt Licker
Posted by Mach on April 17, 2012
DOSVEC hit me up with a little preview of this mashup gem last week, and even unmastered I really enjoyed what I heard. Now that this is finally finished, my mind is blown. DOSVEC was explaining to me that in Australia, Greyhounds are called ‘Dirt Lickers,’ which I find to be a very suitable name for this mashup. Once this mash breaks into LMFAO’s vocals, it is just a dance-floor killer, epic finish.

Bootleg | Exclusive Denzal Park Bootleg Pack
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 2, 2011
As promised here’s the top notch bootlegs pack from the insanely talented duo from Australia, Denzal Park. Combining their production powers through a mutual affinity for electronic music, Kam Denny and Paul Zala carved their initials deep into the dance floors and dj-booths of the country’s biggest nightclubs, darkest dance-halls and festival fields, delivering their trademark concoction of euphoric melodies and down-to-business rhythms to thousands of eagerly pointed ears. To see the full tracklist for the pack hit “More”

Events, Videos | Swedish House Mafia 230911 Announcement
Posted by Middy on September 23, 2011
Swedish House Mafia just made their immensly anticipated 230911 announcement and it confirms much of we have expected. They will be playing Madison Square Garden on December 16th this year and go on a world tour that ends with a massive 9 hour event at Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14th 2012 with special guests to be announced that should be absolutely insane. The tickets go on sale September 30th and they will be capped at $35-$75 for MSG and 45 pounds for MKB so we don’t have prices like the Avicii New Years Eve show ticket prices yesterday. They will also be releasing a new live CD called “One Night Stand” in December with “Antidote” and their remix of “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”. The CD will also include new solo work from each of the three members. A world tour like this is huge (there is mention of Australia and Brazil at the end of the video) as they are going to rock the biggest venues worldwide as well as releasing a new album with new material. Some more information from Billboard here.
Hip-Hop | Gabriel Stark – Anniversary (Prod. DJ Skeet Skeet)
Posted by Jess on September 5, 2011
Rising up and comer Gabriel Stark has been steadily making a name for himself as of late. His breakout song “The Runway” produced by Brenton Duvall sampling Taylor Swift’s “Mean” led him to greater fame as well as an eventual feature on XXL’s The Break. With his latest release “Anniversary”, he goes over a instrumental produced by the one and only DJ Skeet Skeet that samples none other than Taylor Swift again. He has a mixtape due out titled “Thursday in Australia” on the 15th and this opportunity to proved to be a nice layover until its release.
“Anniversary is a record that came about pretty organically. I was in the middle of writing a paper, heard the beat, dropped everything and went and recorded it. We were able to get it recorded, mixed and out to the public in less than 24 hours. It’s a nice layover until Thursday in Australia on the 15th and my album, Thank You Starky on October 20th” – Starky

Mashups | Logo Mashups
Posted by GMONEY on August 26, 2011
I would say that most of the mashups which make their way into our emails these days are coming from the US college scene. Therefore it is refreshing to see some dope mashups from Logo, who hails from Melbourne, Australia. As expected, Logo focuses on mixing and matching house tracks to create some truly unique mashes which feature Guetta, SHM, Avicii, Bart B More, Kaskade, and more. Check out more mashups on his SoundCloud and follow him on facebook

House | Swedish House Mafia – Save The World
Posted by Juicebox on March 28, 2011
So I decided to post this for two reasons…first off, this song is going to be an international chart topper and the final piece of the puzzle to truly bring edm to the mainstream front. It features the perfect amount of poppiness, friendly vocals (thanks to yet another Swede, John Martin), and that party sound we all crave. Second, theres some slight confusion that the world debut was at Midnight Masquarade when in fact it was debuted in the above video in Australia. Song of the year…no questions asked. Shout out to Adrian in the cbox for inspiring this…
