Dubstep | Knife Party News, Flume, Xaphoon Jones, and DREKKEN
Posted by Mach on September 24, 2011
I finally gave into twitter, Im ashamed of myself, but it has turned out to be quite useful. Follow me Machbeats. Knife Party updated their twitter today with the announcement of a new EP (SHM please take notes on what a real announcement is). It is titled ‘100% No Modern Talking,” and will consist of 4 tracks, Internet Friends, Tournquet, Fire Hive, and Back To The Z-List. They plan to release the EP on Beatport and iTunes, but also stated that they will make the EP available FREE where ever possible. No word yet on the release date.

These next two remixes from Flume and Xaphoon Jones aren’t your usual dubstep styled tracks. Flume kicks it old school in a way with his style being nothing short of the coolest. Xaphoon, a little late on the Lights remix, starts it at a slow BPM, only to drop in with some faster BPM, indie vibed dubstep.

DREKKEN is one of those artist no one knows about. Those you that have listened to his tracks before know he is the s#!t. I like a lot of his trance/dubstep tracks, its a rare thing to find an artist who can pull that blend off. This track has been out for a bit, but I figured the people need to hear this hot remix.

Dubstep, Electro | Fresh New Tracks Apparel Update…

Ladies and Gentlemen…it’s that time again. Fresh New Tracks went ahead and doubled the number of tanks we ordered, added two new colors (one shown above), and even added a new slogan on the back for those who live by the FNT lifestyle…”Dark Days Bright Nights”. Due to a number of complaints were making an announcement now that the tank tops will go live for sale wednesday at 11am (Pacific Standard Time). Were having a contest as to whoever can guess the closest to how long it takes us to sell out of them, last time it was 8 hours. Winner gets a free hat…place your bets in the comment section! Oh and here’s some new Deadmau5.

You’ve waited patiently all day for the announcement. The artist have poured blood, sweat, and tears into their remixes. The submissions were so good, I had to come out of semi-retirement just to make this post. I’ve been deliberating back and forth with my colleagues on the strengths and weaknesses of every song. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard of a time we had choosing a winner. We can’t thank those enough who entered into the competition. Your efforts will not go unrewarded or forgotten. With that being said, it’s time. The winner of the “Fresh New Tracks” trillionaire competition is…
