I never thought I would say these words in my life: I like something in any way associated with Good Charlotte. American born producer duo Astro Bros made the impossible, possible with their blend of punchy bass and big melodies, using the vocals just enough to fit the remix. Grab the free remix below.

The Chainsmokers are back with another remix. Surprisingly, I wasn’t that big a fan of their previous remix but I really enjoy this one. It seems they have carved out their own sub genre of progressive house mixed with indie and they do it well. For their latest project they took to remixing Smallpools’ “Dreaming” and they’ve done so in their typical fashion. This may be one of my favorites of theirs.

Coming off the release of their dynamic and diverse 4 track “Thundercolor EP“ last month, Coyote Kisses return to their roots of free downloads and give away “Black Cat“, showing the slow change in direction of their sound. As an ode to their beloved, recently deceased cat Banksy, the two American producers create a unique offering of distorted vocal bits, a subtly funky bass line, lush synth chords and soothing top line. In the future look for more works in the same spectrum stylistically as this one and less and less like their previous dubstep originals remixes.

Dazzling us with a rich R&B production comes French producer Gautier partnered with vocalist Jeffrey Dè Soul, and Louïs who combs the beat with a neat touch of lingering guitar. Altogether this conglomerate delivers, and it’s obvious they would… As if R&B coming out of Paris, France could be any more legitimate.

Following up his collab with Michael Woods, “Black Thong”, Chris Lake makes his return to American dance music giant, Ultra Records. “Ohh Shhh” is the quintisential club track with driving dutch synths, a hard hitting, rolling bass line and builds that do not let the energy drop one bit. The cover art is one to behold as well, for sure get you to chuckle. With his album coming later this year, Chris Lake is showing promise for what should be an outstanding 2013 for the Scottish Dj / producer.

Selling out in only 30 minutes (we hope you got tickets), Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Vol 10 Launch party at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on February 16th now has the supporting cast to go along with headliner and label head Above & Beyond. A mixture of both Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats will be represented with a cast of American producers, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad & newcomer on Anjunadeep, Beckwith. Andrew Bayer is set to release his sophomore album this spring on Anjunadeep “If It Were You, We’d Never Leave”, so expect a new and fresh set from him. We saw both Andrew Bayer & Norin & Rad at Electric Zoo with Above & Beyond and they were outstanding and we are excited to see Beckwith for the first time. Henrix, like many other DJs is feeling generous during the holiday season and has decided to give away a brand new original to cap off a totally transformative year that saw a total name and brand change, now is entering 2013 under the moniker Henrix — one of the fastest rising American house producers with his track “Hit It” coming out soon on Size Records and another with Jakob Leidholm & Zashanell “Close Your Eyes”. “Rock & Rave” continues the same trend of quick alternating percussion we see in other Henrix tracks, but with a rolling acid bass line and a slow, ominous interlude that makes this one stand out.
