Chromeo’s latest album drops in 7 days (sept 14th) so I figured it would be appropriate to give you guys a little taste of what to expect on their new album. Chromeo’s started off with more of a hip hop emphisis but after they dropped their album in 2004, they’ve been standing out by focusing their style of music on a more 80’s electric funk vibe.

New single off Pimp C’s upcoming album, The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones, which drops October 5th. When I was in Dallas with Bun for his “Trill O.G.” release party, he told me that this collaboration was coming. I just didn’t want to ruin the surprise for all you non-blogstars out there. On a side note, I know I’m likely talking to a bunch of northerners who are like, “UGK who?”, but do you think that Pimp C would have collaborated with Drake if he were alive? I guess Bun answered the question for me. Then again, maybe not.

I’m not one to usually post videos. This however, needs to be watched. I’m not a huge Kanye fan to be honest. I think it’s pretty ballsy to stand up in front a room full of suits with no music and spit. It just goes to show you why Kanye West is a star. His energy is unparalleled. Hit the jump for two more videos. Good Ass Job may be the album of the year.
