2013 has been the year of Snake, turning up dance floors all over the world behind the turn tables, but also with his own productions, and what better way to end the year with an official release of his track with Lil Jon “Turn Down For What” under Columbia Records. Make sure you buy 4 or 5 copies for the holidays, one for your grandma, your girlfriend, your neighbor, and your little sister, and let them know Merry Christmas in style. Baby Jesus would approve, cop this single, save a ho, support twerking.

WOW, just WOW! And another great track that forces to me to remove one from my top 10 list of 2013 to include this one. Swedish artist Seinabo Sey’s “Younger” is a masterpiece, from the songwriting, to the production, this track has it all. For her second track made public, I can only imagine what is to come. You’re going to want to do yourself a favor and stream this record, Seinabo in my opinion is in the ranks of Adele and Emeli Sande, and I stand behind my words. This is a must listen!

Electronic, House, Techno | George FitzGerald – Magnetic
Posted by Spice on December 18, 2013
It’s a commonly held belief among the underground that Berlin is the ultimate vanguard when it comes to electronic music. “The shit coming out of Germany these days is way more innovative and experimental and compelling than anything in the US, man! Have you even been to Berghain?”
But when you spend 2013 listening to Disclosure, and then you’re suddenly confronted by a track like “Magnetic,” it becomes increasingly difficult to discount the UK as one of the biggest breeding grounds for #FutureGarageSpacetronica talent. With his latest, George FitzGerald (recently named one of the top 50 DJs in the world by none less than Resident Advisor) delivers a deliciously spacey listening experience that seems tailor made for late nights and early mornings alike. Dark, deep synths drive the melody, while eerie vocals and a pounding bassline add another heady layer to the vibe. Stream below and head to Beatport for the DL.
And if you’re in the US (you east coast dogs), be sure to catch this rising star’s upcoming live dates; he’ll be at the legendary Output in Brooklyn tomorrow and the equally legendary U Street Music Hall in DC on Friday. Get it while it’s hot — he’s swinging back to Switzerland and the UK after these two brief but epic US stops. More details can be found here.

Folks, forget anything you were listening to these past days, Duke Dumont’s latest single featuring Jax Jones “I Got You” premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC radio show, will make you forget all of that. This is the track of 2013, and 2014 in my opinion. You might know the Grammy nominated Duke Dumont through his hit record “Need You (100%) ” that made its way around the dance world, and notably by the remix produced by NYC based producer Dave Edwards which made it to #1 on the Hypem chart, and this follow up single let’s us know that Mr. Dumont is here to stay, so get familiar! I shit you not, I’ve had this record on repeat ever since I’ve heard it, but hey it’s my birthday today, so I do what I wanna! This is a must listen!
