Psy-trance, trance, and other creatively heavy house genres may not always be the mainstream dance fans cup of tea, but the two-track Interdimensional Exploration EP has ended up finding its way on the trance charts via Beatport, and climbing. Given SUBMERSIVE’s active take on DJing, producing, and also being the creative eye behind the group, it’s only a matter of time until the effort put in begins to pay off.

Growing up, trance music was EDM music for me, I remember being in complete awe of Robert Mile’s album “Dreamland.” It was all about the melody, the epicness, the cinematics behind the sound. Young Melbourne-based music maestro Marcus Santoro has been stacking up spins from various Trance kingpins through 2017, including Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten. His latest offering from within the studio now comes via Aly & Fila’s ‘FSOE Excelsior’ imprint, and it’s entitled ‘Interior Exterior’. The tracks oozes a Jeckyll & Hyde vibe, the drops pack a punch via a dark, heavy bassline, whilst the melody oozes energy and an uplifting vibe via the use of some classic Trance synths. Overall, another quality record for the ever-expanding Excelsior catalog.

Trance, the cornerstone of electronic dance music is alive and well with the release of “The Ritual” from Clayton Lineberger, or better known as Submersive. The Los Angeles, California based trance DJ/Producer lives and breaths this music as he has said “The goal of my music is to give people a transcendent experience in a musical environment.” He states that trance is the fundamental of bringing people together through rhythm and soul. This track is nothing short of an extension of this statement. The appropriately named “The Ritual” features crisp production and catch synth lines that create the ultimate experience given the genre.
Submersive knew that music would be his career and immediately after performing his first show at the young age of thirteen he decided to continue this profession. This career moved him to Los Angeles, where many artists big and small go to get their music heard. “The Ritual” has all of the elements of a strong record, incorporating the use of clean production, selective samples, driving melodies and a hard gritty bass line, this track is the epitome of what Submersive stands for.
