Slightly disappointed that Killsonik’s EP “Where The River Runs Black” got pushed back to a January release, but at least they are still satisfying our need for new sick tunes. Though simple, the drop on this track is catchy and hot as hell. Their remix is a heavy dance track, one of the best kinds in my opinion. It barely resembles the original anymore, which in this case is the best hing we could have expected from Killsonik. The remix is apparently not releasing with Gemini’s new EP “Mercury,” but I’m sure we will find out soon enough about its release.
Events, Preview, Progressive House | Thomas Gold – MIAO (Preview) + North American Winter Tour

Though this was previewed a while back in the aftermovie for his Governor’s Island show over the summer, we now have all of the release info for this track with its driving synth laden drop. “MIAO” be released as a Christmas present to everyone on December 25th on Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye Records. He is also about to embark on a month long North American Tour starting in LA for New Years Eve and then hitting the BPM Festival and continuing across the country, finishing with what is supposed to be his “biggest” New York date yet at Roseland Ballroom. Not sure how that is going to work considering his Governor’s Island show this summer was pretty huge, but it better live up to that billing if you are paying $63. When I first heard the unfinished version of this remix a few months ago it was apparent it was going to be huge and now that we have the totally finished version it is obvious why Miike Snow chose this remix. Following in the footsteps on Thomas Gold, Dirty South and Sebastian Ingrosso and their catalog defining remixes, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman get the honor of being chosen in the Miike Snow tradition of one remix per track, which makes it even more special for the two Stockholm natives. Staying true to their big room progressive sound, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman give us another track that will stand tall among the many releases we see today. It will be released December 17th on Robotberget.

Feels like it has been some time now since Fareoh blew our minds with a new track, couldn’t have picked a better preview to start up again. Just how this remix sounds sends chills through my body while I imagine this in a live setting. The one disappointment is the last few seconds of this preview because it’s the best part. Those few seconds are the pinnacle moment of the track that makes it a must have dance track. The remix releases December 18th on Beyond Sounds.

I love The Rolling Stones, and considering Benny Benassi’s recent track record, I was extremely nervous clicking play. Benny clearly is trying to match his style with the changes that most EDM has made over the past few years. I can happily say that I think he found his sweet spot in his future in Electronic music. This remix is gold. Benny matched the instrumentals flawlessly to Mick Jagger’s voice and even gave the remix a little bit of that Rock and Dance vibe that The Rolling Stones were famous for. The remix releases on December 9th through Universal Music, think of it like an early Christmas gift.

What was once a 5 song remix package has been cut down to 3 remixes for the young Stockholm native’s Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s latest single “Pieces Of Light“. They tab young guns SICK INDIVIDUALS, Denzal Park, & Henrix to add new life to this track with SICK INDIVIDUALS adding a grinding electro drop, Denzal Park pumping more energy into the progressive break and Henrix continuing his current trend of percussion heavy tracks. The remix package will be out December 17th on EMI.

First premiered by Mat Zo at Trance Around the World 450 / Group Therapy Radio 001 in Bangalore India, “Easy” has all the makings of being the follow up to “Language” and “The Sky” from Porter Robinson and Mat Zo respectively. A collab born from their time touring together (you can catch both of them in Chicago on New Years) and a blossoming friendship, this track combines the best of both worlds from these two, bringing out the melodic side of Porter’s sound with subtle gruffness, while adding the eclectic nature of Mat Zo and adding addicting vocals to make it a totally unique track. No info on release date, but it should be out soon on Anjunabeats / Ministry of Sound.
