Albums, House | Besomorph Unleashes House Heater “Heartbreak Hotel” Alongside Anthony Keyrouz And Jon Paul

Posted by on October 9, 2021

With multiple releases on Universal Music/Virgin and official remixes for the likes of Topic, Tujamo, A7S and more, LA-based talent Besomorph holds more than 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify under his three aliases, and has undoubtedly won the hearts of many with his unique take on house music. After growing up in Germany, he has successfully made the relocation to LA and has seen his career explode over the last couple of years, becoming the finalist on John Lennon’s Songwriting Competition 2020 with his song “Anxiety” and reaching over 100k subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Now, following acclaimed singles such as “You So Loose” and “Crush,” Besomorph has enlisted Lebanese producer Anthony Keyrouz and singer/songwriter Jon Paul for “Heartbreak Hotel.” Besomorph and Anthony Keyrouz hit it big last year with a number of successful collaborations, among them “Apologize,“ “Death Bed” and “Virus,” so this house heater is bound to become a massive hit as well.

“Heartbreak Hotel” is part of Chapter RED, a phase of Besomorph’s new branding line, defined by dangerous love games, destructive behavior and mental distress, with red symbolizing danger and toxicity. As Besomorph explains: “Heartbreak Hotel is a place we all meet, which is a place of sadness, but only meant for a temporary stay.”

Electro, House | Epikker Share Electro-House Vibes In ‘Joyride’

Posted by on September 19, 2021

Epikker follows up their “Nobody Knows,” remix with a colorful original they’ve titled “Joyride.” This single bursts with positive vibes via it’s electro-house components, yet it could trigger some throwback feelings depending on how old the listener is who experiences the tune.

Thumping, synth heavy, and highly melodic, the track hits all the right pressure points to send a desire to dance through the body. The arrangement enhances the catchiness going on within, the track being easy to repeat and containing plenty to love.

Epikker has plenty of aesthetics that are easy to latch onto. Made up of Henry Strange and Suniel Fox, the two bring a balance to one another that compounds into a energy of endless possibilities.

Deep House | Running Touch’s ‘Ceilings’ A Deep House Journey Not To Be Missed

Posted by on September 18, 2021

If you have not heard of Running Touch, now is the time to get acquainted. “Ceilings,” is now out and gives a sliver of understanding as to why this solo artist has been in such demand in the late 2010’s and now going forward. “Ceilings,” shares many club-friendly elements within it, from the eased- ticking of the 128 BPM house tempo to the light organ chords and notes. The aspects are certainly charming, but it’s the vocals that truly make this work stand out.

Running Touch shares more behind “Ceilings,” below:

“I thought the verses to be all the questions and problems, the chorus to be this disregard for those things and the release. It flourishes. Cycles – just like we experience. The name ‘Ceilings’ is a reference to our subconscious, all the unsolved feelings and tensions that dictate us.”
– Running Touch

As the quote shares, Running Touch clearly looks inward when it comes to the ‘why’ behind the music. His artist direction and creative output is easy to latch on to, for surface level reasons as well as very introspective reasons too.

“Ceilings,” is available to listen to in full above. If digging what is heard, he’s got a thick catalog to fall back that certainly stands the test of time.

House | Narayan And theajsound Join Forces On Impressive New Single “Crawling”

Posted by on August 16, 2021

Hailing from India, Narayan is arguably one of the freshest new talents within the scene, and a name we’ll be hearing a lot more from now on. At a very young age, he has already hit a number of massive milestones due to his immense production talents, among them being enlisted to work on sample packs for companies like CR2 Records and Audentity Records, record special mixes for promotional channels DeepTropical House and YUYU1162, and release on labels such as CR2 Records and Audentity Records.

Now, following his immersive future bass gem with Harley Bird, “Show Me The Way,” that was released via Simplify Recordings, Narayan has returned with yet another gem, this time teaming up with veteran musician theajsound to share “Crawling.” Out via OXYTIME, “Crawling” perfectly showcases Narayan’s versatility as an artist, seeing him perfectly incorporate ethnic influences into an unapologetically modern club production, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear more from him.

House | Thomas Xavier Goes All Out On 3rd Single From EP ‘Make That Kitty Purr (Feat. Erika Love)’

Posted by on August 14, 2021

Hot off the release of his 2nd single “Can’t Stop Me,” Thomas Xavier returns with “Make That Kitty Purr.” The single is his 3rd to date from the G-house based Pussy On A Pedestal EP. Since starting to release original music and go beyond live mixes, Thomas Xavier hasn’t had to self-release any of his music, getting signed to labels straight away on both EPs, the previous one being Go To Church EP via User Friendly and this one being signed to iamrecords.

It’s a strong, original sound that is causing demand to go up around this solo DJ/producer. He’s very precise to drop music that falls in certain barriers, but doesn’t narrow his viewpoint too thin where his music sounds repetitive.

“Make That Kitty Purr,” could be one of the top examples of this that he’s released to date. Featuring quirky samples and fun novelties, without sacrificing integrity or a feeling that the track is apart of a bigger picture.

The intelligence put into practice is paying off.  Claude Von Stroke, Volac, and BIJOU have had him open for them; some serious heavy hitters in the industry. Just a few weeks back, he played Tempo Ultra Lounge alongside black a.m. and he’s now topped over 125,000 streams across a mere 5 releases. Thomas Xavier has 1 more track off of this EP before moving on to the next chapter of sonic gems. Most likely set to drop in September if the pattern continues, his dependability with good music and rational direction will serve him well.

Bass, House | longstoryshort Hits New High With ‘Never Come Close’ Single

Posted by on August 13, 2021

The project only being 2 years old, it’s impressive to see what solo DJ/producer longstoryshort has been able to accomplish since his inception. Millions of streams, plenty of support from blogs, artists, and the like, he’s achieving success in all the proper corners of the music industry to earn the title of a fast-growing artist. Continuing the momentum even more so, he’s released “Never Come Close.”

From the very first moments, a plethora of production elements come raging forward to make up the one-of-a-kind energy that’s within here. Tech house gives the track it’s groove, atmospheric echo-induced vocals gshare an eased nature, and the build up and drops provide confident energy that makes the experience time-testing. Highly technical and well detailed, longstoryshort has a talent for handling big challenges with complex components in his music, the result being a well-cultured song with undeniable personality and catchiness.

It could be that he’s well-practiced, talented, or both, but longstoryshort has the ‘it’ factor that so many desire – being able to not stray too far out of what he’s primed fans to with his past releases, but not coming off repetitive or rudimentary. The man is balanced and keeps bringing the fire.
