DJ-Set, House | Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso Back-2-Back Essential Mix
Posted by Middy on August 12, 2012
The legendary Essential Mix takes us to Privilege Ibiza, the biggest club in the world as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records where Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso played a 90 minute back 2 back set chock full of unreleased tracks like the Swedish House Mafia’s recently radio debuted track “Don’t You Worry Child“, Sebastian Ingrosso’s collab with Tommy Trash “Reload”, Steve Angello’s upcoming single “Lights” with fellow Size label mates Third Party and more. They go through an extensive selection of both of their recent discographies as well as some of the biggest tracks from the past several months, molding them together into seamless bootlegs. Host, Pete Tong started off the night with some purposeful, groovy tech, house and progressive with Italian legend, Benny Benassi closing out the night with one of his eclectic, high energy sets. DJ-Set, House | Coldplay – Charlie Brown (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)
Posted by Middy on August 8, 2012
The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. It flawlessly combines dark, club elements with happy vibes from the Coldplay original. He keeps much of the original melody and the vocals, while adding his own spin on it with a quick moving snare, an infectious whistle top line that will get stuck in your head, a dark, grungy melody to give this track almost a dual personality with the various styles coming together and mixing impeccably. You have to expect this from a veteran such as Stewart Price and we will see more from him soon. Also check out his Essential Mix recently aired on BBC Radio One, which despite his longtime friendship with Pete Tong and support from the radio station was his first mix. It combines a plethora of different sounds from nu-disco to techno to tech to progressive and everything in between. Tracklist after the jump.
DJ-Set, House | Pierce Fulton – Get Weird Episode 003
Posted by Middy on August 5, 2012
Pierce Fulton is back with the 3rd episode of his radio show Get Weird on Tiesto’s channel on Sirius XM, Club Life. There is a slight change this time as he has a new intro with some funny quotes from movies. The great choice of music however does not change. He picks out a great variety of tracks with some groovy techy tracks, some progressive trancey ones, such as Audien – Eventide as previewed above that will be released tomorrow on Anjunabeats and plenty more, like the classic “Yeah!” from Boyz Noize (new album coming October 2nd). It is great to have a podcast that takes you on a musical journey of so many different genres and Pierce takes on the role of teacher, helping you discover new songs that don’t get as much attention as some others.

DJ-Set, Progressive House | Shinedown – Unity (Matisse & Sadko Remix)
Posted by Middy on July 31, 2012
Rising Russian duo, Matisse & Sadko have released their remix of Shinedown’s hit single “Unity” on Atlantic Records. They have a knack for making joyful, uplifting House that does not tire on your ears and this song is no different. Everything from the blissful piano melody to the playful guitar melody accentuating Shinedown’s vocals and a bass line with elements from their remix of “Beating Of My Heart” continues their trend of making big progressive house tracks. Matisse & Sadko have had an outstanding year so far not only with their remixes but also with “Trio” under their belts as well. The future looks as bright as a solar eclipse for these guys, so stay tuned for more from them.
Also included in the package is a heavy Dubstep remix from Liquid Stranger and a Progressive House remix from Steve Lade with a bit of a different sound, though Matisse & Sadko stands alone on this package. Below is their July Promo Mix, which includes some of the best tracks of late July including their “Unity” remix and some upcoming tracks like the massive Redlight – Lost In Your Love, set to release August 6th. DJ-Set | DJ JurisDoc – FNT Mix 7/19/2012
Posted by Grubeats on July 19, 2012
It’s been a minute since FNT resident DJ, JurisDoc, blessed us with a holy water to dip our ears in, but he’s resurrecting his presence with one gigantic new mix. In normal fashion, JurisDoc blends together many of FNT’s favorites in house, electro, pop, and more for a solid 53 minute mix that has the capability of knocking your shorts down to your ankles. Go ahead and take this dose of Doc’s prescription because it would be foolish to say this isn’t one of JurisDoc’s best set’s to date.
