Within the last five years, dance music has experienced an incredible growth in popularity. Raves have evolved from illegal parties held at grungy warehouses, to massive spectacles featuring performers, fireworks, awe-inspiring stages, and hundreds of performing artists, while electronic artists have become superstars and celebrities, rather than backroom producers. Although electronic music has a lengthy past, the genre has never been in the limelight, and has never crossed over into the mainstream – until now. With electronic music sitting firmly in the spotlight, and plenty of media attention on the negative aspects of dance music, it’s become more and more important to open up a dialogue about how electronic music can positively impact society, and Insomniac is championing this movement with the EDMbiz Conference & Expo.

“Be prepared for the most epic music festival journey in U.S. history. Celebrating the mainstream and underground with a mind-blowing lineup.” These are the opening lines to the countdown video that Mysteryland USA released yesterday to get the world excited for what is about to go down on the same grounds that Woodstock occurred on almost 50 years ago. Last year, Mysteryland broke ground for the first United States and absolutely blew all expectiations out of the water. They plan on doing so again.

In addition to the countdown video, Mysteryland USA has announced the official set times for the Memorial Day festival that includes not only the music schedule but also the arts, culture, and food events that will occur in tandem with the music festival. On the last two nights of the festival, Mysteryland USA will be having a closing ceremony for each day to really abide by their mantra that “tomorrow is a mystery.” You can view the full schedule for Mysteryland USA 2015 here and still grab you tickets for those of you within the area (New Yorkers it is only an hour and a half for you).

Mysteyland USA, which is taking place over Memorial Day Weekend on the Woodstock ’69 grounds, is no doubt one of the hottest festivals in dance music right now, thanks to its unique blend of music, art, and culture. With headliners like Diplo, Dillon Francis, Kygo, and Porter Robinson all slated to take over the main stage, there’s no doubt that the second coming of Mysteryland in the States will not disappoint. While the festival features main stage talent that is hard to beat, the onus of Mysteryland has always lied in the underground, with up-and-coming acts like JackLNDN, who they have tabbed for their latest mixtape. Armed with his style of dreamy house, JackLNDN delivers a stunning hour-long mix of feel good tunes, featuring Pete Tong, Justin Jay, Peking Duk, and more. You can stream his mix above (tracklist after the jump), and get tickets to Mysteryland USA here.

While the music aspect of Mysteryland’s “electronic music culture and arts” branding is clear, the festival has just unveiled their “culture and arts” lineup, which features lots of intriguing art, a speaker stage, a healing garden, and more (full lineup after the jump).
