This remix of “Paper Dreams” by The Lazy Calm is a mid-pace trap song that still has a laid back vibe. Aylen’s spin on the popular Zedd song “Stay the Night” featuring Haley Williams has a dark, cool vibe to it. It’s definitely trap, but it has some elements you don’t typically hear in a party type trap song. It’s got some eerily warped vocals and minimal beats. My favorite part is the last drop about four minutes in because of the added synths. This track is free to download on Facebook!

Oooof, what a remix by LA producer Party Favor of Miley Cyrus’ record, off her album Bangerz, “Someone Else.” The drums go hard on this track layered over a piercing melody, and chopped up vocals that resonate. I’m always skeptical when opening Miley Cyrus remixes, cause let’s face it, does she really need the extra PR? But nah, this track is not about Miley Cyrus, it’s about Party Favor doing his thing and producing beautiful trap music. What would Britney sound like on a trap beat? Chi Duly seems to specialize in answering questions no one asks. This time around he collabs with newcomer Louie XIV, for a “hillbilly trap” rendition of “Work Bitch”. Honestly seeing as how Katy Perry, Rihanna and Miley have all put out “edm trap” ish records, we’re kind of surprised Britney (who jumped on the dubstep wagon in 2011) chose such a dated edm sound on the original Work Bitch.

I’d say this recent drop is in the realm of progressive trap, which is where a lot of trap songs have been headed over the past couple of months. With a awesome collab between London Future & Djemba Djemba, this track SLAPS. Ifa Sayo’s voice is absolutely stunning over the trap heavy beats and progressive synths that ride you out all the way through to the end – such a fresh new track.
