Trance | Sunny Lax – Isla Margarita / Naida
Posted by Middy on October 29, 2012
My lights are flickering like crazy right now, but no matter, the music does not stop. Hungarian, Sunny Lax gives us this smooth two track EP drenched in warm melodies that while it may be a hurricane outside, you can feel warm and relaxed inside. Anjunabeats knows how to find the right tracks to release and coming off Bluestone’s huge release “Capetown“, this two track EP that bridges the that illusive gap of trance and house is yet another top of the line release from Above & Beyond’s stellar imprint.

Trance | Trance Tuesdays
Posted by Spice on October 9, 2012
Greetings, Trance Family. I trust this post finds you well. While this particular family member is still reeling from a positively massive (to borrow Armin’s favorite word) few days — Jochen Miller and Armin van Buuren on Thursday; Above & Beyond on Saturday — it is now time to move past the weekend and pay homage to a sampling of the glorious releases that have dropped in the past week. And glorious they truly are.
First up is the remix package for the stunning “I’ll Listen,” a song that may seem languid and understated at first but which proves wickedly catchy upon subsequent listens. Never doubt the diabolical tendencies of Armin. Check out John O’Callaghan’s “dark” mix above and then join me in trance heaven after the jump.
Electro, Trance | La’Reda – Synthasouras Rex + Risk Everything
Posted by Sev on October 8, 2012
Electro duo La’Reda is back again with a release on Black Hole Recordings of two of their monster tunes Synthasourus Rex and Risk Everything . The jump-up style these guys brings always gives an uplifting feeling to their tunes, which sets the stage for their live performances. These guys know how to add a taste of bass and distortion to their tracks giving a heavy aspect to go along with their catchy melodies and nice chord progressions. Both tracks have great melodies with a hint of Nicky Romero’s lively Electro distorted synths setting the pace of each trance/electro blended track. Grab both of these monster tunes off of Beatport HERE.
Trance | Bluestone – Capetown
Posted by Middy on October 8, 2012
Israeli trance producer Bluestone may have just gotten his big break with this stadium sized trance track, combining distorted vocals, an emotive top line, powerful synths and a pulsing bass line. Bluestone has been working with fellow more established Israeli Maor Levi on producing tracks like “On Our Own” that appeared on Anjunabeats vol 9, however it was time for him to deliver his follow up single release to “Namaste” on Anjunabeats. This track has been supported by Arty, Thomas Gold, Gareth Emery and Above & Beyond among others, so let the warm, soothing melodies of Bluestone take you away to a better place.
Dubstep, Trance | Seven Lions EP Teaser (Release on 10/16)
Posted by Sev on October 6, 2012
After having two monster remixes released in the past two weeks, Seven Lion’s is back again with a big announcement. The Seven Lions EP has been signed by one of the biggest EDM labels around currently, OWSLA, and set to be released on 10/16. I definitely didn’t see this coming, but I am ecstatic for him. Showing us that no matter what label wants to release his music, he stays true to his style and what he does best, which we see a showcase of in this teaser video. The Trance infused dubstep style seems to have appealed to Skrillex enough for him to sign this magnificent artist’s EP in what is going to be one of the top releases on the label in the past few months. There isn’t much else to say that we already haven’t about Seven Lions, but the wait for the next 10 days is going to a long and eager one. With that said, we also got a sneak peak at one of the tracks from the EP courtesy of Spin Magazine and it is surely a promising one.
Albums, Trance | Delerium ft. Sarah McLachlan – Silence (W&W & Jonas Stenberg Remix)
Posted by Middy on September 27, 2012
It has been over a year since this track was first debuted, and with support from Tiesto, Armin, Cosmic Cate, Gareth Emery, Hardwell and many more this track has seen regular play for the past year by the top DJs worldwide. Any time you see W&W live, and if you have chance to, do it because they put together one of the best sets you will see, this Silence remix is sure to be a peak time moment, getting even the shyest of those in the crowd to display their singing prowess. There is something indelible about the Tiesto remix of the track, but W&W and Jonas Stenberg make this ripe for 2012 and beyond, ready for festival work well into next year. This was released as part of their first compilation album “MainStage Vol. 1“, which showcased some of the talents on their label like Rick Mitchells & Wezz Duvall, while adding several recent tracks from their own discography and songs from others that range from their style of hard hitting trance to more electro and progressive house. Get the album on BEATPORT or iTunes.

DJ-Set, House, Trance | The Drop 033 (Gabriel & Dresden Guest Mix)
Posted by Middy on September 26, 2012
The Drop is a weekly radio show that plays some of the biggest tracks of the week such as Otto Knows remix of “Lies“, the trance drop, “Five Finger Death Punch” and “Must Be The Love“, while showcasing an up and coming talent on guest mix duties like Dannic, Leon Bolier, Ken Loi, Dyro & Mattisee & Sadko. The show also interviews an artist or figure in the industry. In this episode, Rukes, the man who is the standard of dance music photography, is interviewed by the guys. The interviews are well done and informative and do not get in the way of the music. On this episode, Gabriel & Dresden take over with 30 minutes of their set at Exchange, LA two weeks ago, mixing in a few of their signiature mashups including their much requested Pryda vs. Human League – Don’t You Want Me Allein bootleg. Check them out on Facebook, Twitter & Soundcloud and look out for episode 34 tomorrow. Tracklist after the jump.
