Ahhh shit, Party Favor just dropped his high energy remix of Major Lazer’s “Bumaye,” even wilder than the original, and it’s about to be a problem. Already getting support from Twerk Gods DJ Snake and Diplo, debuted on his guest mix on D!RTY AUD!O last week, and just released yesterday on SoundCloud with already 14,000 plays, you’re wasting time not hopping on this one quick! Seeing the rise of this young producer in just a few short months, there’s no doubt in my mind that Party Favor will have a phenomenal year. This is a must listen!

Chill, Trap | Elaksi – Near Me

Elaski Near Me

“Near Me” by Elaksi was introduced to me by a friend, and I love these chill trap records that have been coming out lately, and this one in particularly resonates with me. Elaksi is a 19 year old producer from Finland that has done unofficial remixes for Kanye West, Rustie, and Stwo among others, which I strongly suggest you venture through his SoundCloud. His usage of the smooth vocal sample, along with hard hitting 808 kicks and furiously fast hi-hats makes for an epic track! I look forward to hearing more from this young producer. This is a must listen!

Electro, Hip-Hop | SIRIUSMO – Nights Off (Djemba Djemba’s J Beibs Flip)

Posted by on January 13, 2014

So I’m sure you’re all familiar with JB’s lullaby “Memphis” that has that longing feel to it, but you’re probably more unfamiliar with the music behind the artist. SIRIUSMO takes the infamous Djemba Djemba’s original flip on the song and created it his own, making it for a inevitable banger. As some seem to think that he stole this beat from Diplo, the real DL is that they both produced the final version on J Beib’s record, so just listen before you go pointing fingers… This song is fresh.

DO SOMETHING

Trap | Woolymammoth – ELLA

Posted by on January 13, 2014

I must say before you play, this track is EXTREMELY unpredictable. It goes from low key trap, to some serious “I’m not playin’ around” trap, back to some light core and then onto the next drop that completely blew my brains out, sounding like something in-between Floss and Skrillex. This track absolutely kills it, thanks to the lovely Ella Fitzgerald herself.

Trap | HWLS – 001

As Ta-ku & Kit Pop join forces to create the collab group HOWLS, they give us a little teaser to hold us over until the drop of their anticipated EP. “001” presents us with a huge bass and a eerie melody, pure trap pleasure.

Vonzie and Kaptain just delivered a ridiculously dope record “20 Deep” that you need to experience, what they call a jazz infused, melodic trap track, and I’m going to call it straight sex. We’ve heard Vonzie do trap remixes but this original record surpasses your regular trap record, and is actually mad refreshing, yet still managing to hit hard! If you’re looking for an eargasm, this track is for you, hands down, stop reading this and press play. I genuinely look forward to hear what Kaptain and Vonzie have in store for us next. This is a must listen and a must download!

DJ-Set, Progressive House, Trance | Matt Fax – Barr (Andre Sabota Remix)

Posted by on January 9, 2014

Matt Fax - Barr (Andre Sabota Remix)Madeon may be the most well-known teenage French producer around right now, but not to be igonored is 17 year old Matt Fax, who in the past year has had his tunes played by the likes of Armin, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten, appeared for a guest mix on Group Therapy, and released tunes on Enhanced Recordings, Anjunabeats and other labels. He released “Barr” back in November, but it has been revived with a more upbeat rework from the man himself and a remix from Brazilian progressive house producer, André Sobota. Sobota adds a more progressive feel to the track, keeping much of the original in tact, but injecting a more blissful, soothing vibe to the already very melodic groove. Check them both out below and if you aren’t sick of these mixes already, listen to Matt Fax’s year end mix that mashes 60 tracks into 61 minutes.
