Recently signed to Ultra Records, the mysterious electro-group Kid Arkade just put out a preview of their debut single “Atlas Run” scheduled to be released September 5th, and it’s about to give the EDM scene a run for its money! Their sound is electronic with hints of groove, and progressive to take us into the future of dance music. If I were to put into words the sounds of “Atlas Run” it’d be a Spanish bull fighting scene, which is inspiring as considering most electronic records nowadays are redundant in nature, this one paints a picture, reminding me of the gool ol’ trance days. Thank you Kid Arkade for the refreshment, this is a must listen!

I wish I knew who this artist from Chicago was, but this track “Walk Away” by Openwater is a true beauty, I couldn’t leave work without posting it for ya’ll. R&B with an electronic touch is how I would define his sound, but in all honesty I don’t even know, he only has 3 tracks up, and two that aren’t his! Entirely self-produced, performed, and written, Openwater is the full package. This track is refreshing and a true delight. I hope the internet catches wind of this talent and hears the quality of his work! This is a must listen and support by copping it on Bandcamp.

Whattt, Alesia just sent over the illest remix of Jeremih and YG’s “Don’t Tell Em,” no words can describe, it’s one you’re going to have to feel,cause this track goes hard. It’s ironic as well that this track received an “EDM” remix, because the original track is a dance track to being with, you guys all know Snap! ‘s “Rhythm Is A Dancer,” so leave it to the Parisian duo signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA to revamp this hip hop track into dance music for 2014, ( or 2015, these guys are so ahead of their time…). If this is your jam, then this is a must listen, and a must download! Get it!

The electronic hip-hop duo Parade No. 5 based out of LA just sent over their first single “Outbreak,” a hip-hop inspired trap anthem for the clubs, that’s bound to make the whole place shake, so cue the booty shaking and the twerking. The energy on this track is wild, reminiscent of Meek Mill’s “House Party” gone EDM for all of your festival needs. This is the first release for the duo, but the crossover appeal of this tune is what makes it stand out! Could this be the first EDM track that makes it way onto Hot 97? I think so, this track goes hard so DJs get on this! This is a must listen and a must download!

Canadian DJ/Producer Imanos just released a sick progressive-trap electro-pop remix of Dawin’s “Just Girly Things,” and if I’m wrong with the genre correct me, but in my opinion it has elements of all of these styles, and that’s the future. I’m personally a big fan of these melodic chord progressions which break into hard trap drops, it reminds me that you can still smile and be a gangster. This has Summer written all over it, and festival vibes for days. The tag “the beat goes hard though” doesn’t lie, this tune goes hard, it’s a must listen!
