Dubstep | MUST DIE! – Wheels Theme (Konec Remix)
Posted by Sev on November 10, 2012
Up and coming artist Konec, has just released this one of a kind remix that was a part of MUST DIE!’s free album on Dim Mak records. Starting off with almost a Trap sounding intro, this track soon picks up the pace into a heavy growling drop accompanied by epic melody afterwards. This track is a great download to get your Saturday rolling.
Dubstep | Eva Simons – Renegade (James Egbert Remix)
Posted by Middy on November 10, 2012
Rising American asset, James Egbert has been slowly making a name for himself with his “The Beginning EP” released earlier this year as well as his single “The Legion“. He has been generous enough to give away this remix of “Renegade” and if history tells us anything, free remixes of this caliber can be the thing that takes a career to that next level because they get spread everywhere. The remix provides intricate key work over a complex melody with soothing interludes, led by Eva Simons’ vocals and just enough grinding saws to give the drop the power it possesses. This is a freebee so you have no excuse not to get it immediately.
Dubstep, Progressive House | Topher Jones & Amada – Hello Chicago (Remixes)
Posted by Middy on November 10, 2012
Topher Jones’ ode to his hometown Chicago got the remixes the track was begging for to give it the lift it needed. We start the package with a rather surprising remix from Ashley Wallbridge. He is known for his more traditional trance tracks as a member of Garuda Records, but on this remix he takes a more progressive approach with a big room build and a growling electro drop. The Tom Swoon goes for broke with as big a drop as you can get with driving synth chords and a smooth build, emphasizing Amada’s vocals. Those Usual Suspects remix utilizes chopped synth stabs and a chugging bass line to give some variation to the melody. Fellow Chicago producer, Stratus adds some fast paced, crunchy dubstep to the track, taking a totally different path taen the rest of the remixes.
Dubstep | 501 – Smash!
Posted by Mach on November 8, 2012
Wow, this is a pleasant surprise from Never Say Die Records. Was not expecting them to give away the title track off 501’s upcoming EP, “Smash.” The epic EP of 501 is releasing in just 4 days on November 12th. Honestly, after listening to the previews of 501’s entire EP, “Smash!” is undoubtedly his leading hit. Lucky for us to be able to grab a free copy days before the EPs release.
Dubstep | R Rated #54
Posted by Sev on November 8, 2012
With Krewella’s Play Hard Remix EP in the making, we are seeing some glimpses of their remixes surfacing rapidly. This week we got two free remixes of Krewella’s tracks, one from Culture Code and the other from The Pegboard Nerds. Both artist take a different take on their given tracks; With Culture code providing us with one of their melodic, trancey styled tracks they have been tearing the stages with. On the other hand we have Pegboard Nerds delivering another stellar heavy tune with some funky synths and aggressive growls.
Although we already posted Dirtyphonics latest single along with the remixes entitled “DIRTY”, we couldn’t keep out this new freebie given away that wasn’t on the EP. Synchronice nailed this remix giving it even more heavy bass and crazier synths than the original. This one definitely takes the top spot for my favorite remix of this track. You can grab the download HERE or below.
Although these next two tracks aren’t exactly “filthy” tracks, they earned their spots on R Rated. Minnesota has created some heavy tracks in his day, but lately he has been leaning more towards creating appealing melodic tracks and they definitely seem to be working. This Adventure Club remix sets the mood for a nice autumn afternoon.
Continuing on with the melodic tracks, this next one is by the Inspected ‘Dream Team’. Yes the record label Inspected was able to round up some of the biggest names under their label to create this next masterpiece in celebration of Movember. Gemini, Asa, Culprate, and KOAN Sounds collaborated on this next piece to create a unique melodic track.
To cap off R Rated, our very own Mach threw together this heavy mix. Don’t take this caution lightly, but if you can’t handle a hour and fifteen minutes of filth then this mix isn’t for you. Download the mix HERE. Read on below for the track list.
Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Preview | Two Fingers – Vengeance Rhythm (KOAN Sound Remix)
Posted by Mach on November 5, 2012
This was a little difficult to categorize on the site because this is Neurofunk, which is technically a subgenre of Drum & Bass…semantics. Two Fingers was originally a duo made up of Doubleclick and EDMs most influential artist, Amon Tobin, but now is just a solo alter ego of Amon Tobin. KOAN Sound is very lucky to have been chosen by the legend to do a remix for his last album that released, “Stunt Rhythms.” Just as expected, KOAN Sound did a killer job on this remix, it is releasing December 10th on Big Dada.
Dubstep | Swedish House Mafia – Miami 2 Ibiza (Gemini Remix)

OH MY GOD! I am at a loss for words. After one and half years of waiting my all time most wanted track has finally been released. Gemini being one of the most talented rising stars in the scene currently, created this remix a while back flaunting and showcasing his talents, but when I heard this track for the first time I was blown away. This track has been smashing stages worldwide for some time now so it goes without saying that this has been one of the most wanted tracks from him. The drop blows me away every time I listen to it, and it NEVER gets old. Trust me you want to grab this download I promise you want regret it.
